"Pathfinder came in for my skunk problem at an extremely reasonable price and got the job done quickly. I got multiple quotes and listened to multiple sales pitches, I appreciated that he explained things to me and kept me informed throughout the process. Not to mention he was onsite within a few days of me calling. He will be our go-to for all pests and unwanted creatures at our cabin!"

"Do not look any further or compare any other company to Friendly Pest Control. They are the very best people to work with. It is like you are a team member coordinating efforts to alleviate pest problems. I had bats, mice, carpenter ants, and ground squirrels invade after two houses around us had major renovations. Matt Abney is the owner, and he continues to be responsive to all my calls, emails, and texts. He also helped me develop a plan of action by listening to all my concerns. Angie and Dawn in the front office are so nice, responsive, and patient, as I had to keep changing appointments and piling on to my list of issues that got beyond my ability to handle myself. Texts, emails, and calls are always responded to quickly. Tavin, who inspected my log home from rooftop to foundation, was extraordinary to get into every crawlspace, take photos, and send them to me to show where gaps in my log home should be closed up. He looked for potential areas where bats or rodents were getting in and posted them to the company website for me to look through. Friendly has plans at different levels and prices and is proactive about what should be done. Once we had a plan, RJ, an expert at chinking, went all around every door and window from peak to peak out front and back, including my side facing logs around the garage. It looks original to the house. They started a trapping system inside and out and came back more times than I can remember to inspect, remove any catches, and set new traps. As soon as I recognized a new problem, they were back to remedy the situation. Cody came out for my usual maintenance and then took the time to listen to my concerns. He even did some on-the-spot treatments by spraying or using foam in cracks to deal with carpenter ants. Friendly is thorough; they are a great group to work with and spend the time to talk with you, explain things, and make recommendations. Matt has also come out several times to check on the work that was done and what else I would like to do. For example, add a 1-way bat from the attic, set and monitor mice traps, chinking in other areas, or add metal perforated covers to foundation vents and anchor them to the block wall so they are not breached by rodents. I have dealt with two other companies in Payson for pest control. But I get real results from Friendly by actually alleviating the pests."

"Kurt did a thorough inspection of our home, garage and shed both interiors and exteriors. He even inspected under the house and porch. He found a few items outside of a normal pest inspection for us to work on for prevention. Kirt is not only thorough but he is reasonably priced as well. After 32 years in the pest extermination business, he’s the go-to guy!"

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Clay-Springs, AZ

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
