"I was very pleased with the work they did. They came this November and last November. They came promptly and looked over the job. I had them do an additional area this time. They did a fine job. I have tentative plans for them to do some touchup work in April. They gave me a senior discount. The price is after my discount. I phoned them and if I have to leave a message they are very prompt in returning my calls. They schedule promptly and they are always right on time. It is a small family outfit."

"We had visited another carpet store that morning, and were kind of blown away by the prices and lack of installation services and knowledge of the product. <br /> We had received another recommendation which happened to be The Carpet Man in Lakeport....so we drove there. We were welcomed, introduced, and asked what we were interested in. <br /> The gentleman proceeded to the carpet samples, opened up just the right ones.....explained in depth the differences between the different materials, textures and guarantees. <br /> He then followed us to our home, did the measurements, and we bought carpeting for liv. rm., din. rm., and bedroom. <br /> Carpeting was installed on time, but not completed. The installers noticed a wet section on the floor. We investigated and found a leakage under the kitchen sink....repaired that....dired out the floors with an industrial fan....and the installers returned the next day and completed the installation. I am grateful they noticed the problem which would have been disastrous if they had just carpeted over it. <br /> This is a very good company to do business with....I was impressed. <br /> Claude <br />"

"It went well. She arrived on time. She listened as I explained some special needs and wants. She showed me different carpets that were available. She gave me samples to live with and then return. She arranged for delivery and installation that worked with other planned events I was dealing with. I was also very happy with the installer. <br />"

"Spoke with Ryan the owner. He was very courteous returned my phone call quickly. He gave me an excellent price estimate. Cleaner was professional and prompt. Equipment was self-contained in their truck mounted cleaner. Only needed access to a water spigot. Carpet repair was small and they used what he called a cookie cutter. If I didn't know where the repair was, you would not be able to spit where they did the work. Overall - I was very impressed with their excellent work. And I would recommended them whole-heartedly."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Clearlake-park, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
