He got showed up to our home day of job on time, the weather held out and completed the job earlier than expected. He cleaned up all materials and it looks amazing. Absolutely would highly recommend A & R Concrete Solutions LLC and have plans for him to do additional repairs."

"It worked out very well to choose Pedro and Barrera construction for the replacement of my driveway. I met with about six different companies and got a very competitive estimate from Barrera. Other estimates were up to two times higher! Pedro was very responsive by text during the contract arrangement. The crew showed up on time on the scheduled date. As Pedro had promised, they had all the equipment that they needed to demolish and haul away my old asphalt and concrete driveway. Pedro himself was usually on site and even when he was not, the crew seemed to know exactly what to do and go about it in industrious fashion. After one day, the old driveway was gone and most of the forms for the new one were built with the gravel base in place. On day two, the forms were finished, concrete was poured with reinforcing wire mesh and after a couple hours, the forms were removed to complete the job. Over the next few days, I got a lot of positive comments about the new driveway from passersby and I was happy to recommend Barrera construction to a few people who asked specifically what company had done the job. My new driveway is a huge improvement and I'm grateful that working with Barrera was such a good experience."

"Contacted Mayne Masonry left message.  Received call back the same day and agreed to meet on Thursday for an estimate.  Mr. Mayne arrived promptly on the day to discuss the project.  Received the estimate, accepted and discuss the dates for the project to begin.  Mr. Mayne contacted me the day prior to beginning the project as promised.  He completed the project on time and cleaned everything up.  Other than a beautiful patio you wouldn't have known anyone has been there!  When we are ready to replace our driveway, Mayne Masonry will be the contractor for us!"

"I did not do promotion through Angie's List because I had no idea what worked I needed done before they came out and wrote the estimate but I did select them through their ratings on this site.  They took care of the problem and the new home owner's have a guarantee so no complaints there.  The original time estimate to get to the job was a week and a half to two weeks.  I told them I had about two weeks to closing (work was done as a result of inspection after home sale and I committed to getting it done).  After two weeks I had not heard from them so I called to see when it could be done.  I told them it was now or never as I would have to write a check at closing to the new home owners in lieu of the work being done if it could not be done by closing.  I will give them a break as it was a period of heavy rain and emergency situations so I know they were swamped (pun intended).  They did get the work done for e.  When the work was estimated it was $450 for each crack.  I didn't know how to judge the price so I asked how many people it would take and how long would it take.  I was told it would take two people most of a day or three people for half a day if I needed it done in less time for the day. So the price seemed reasonable.  As it turned out - one guy came out and completed the work in less than five hours.  He did a great job and was very courteous so no complaints with that just now the price seems high considering the labor involved.  I had paid $40 for the estimate which was included in the $900 so you got to figure that time too but still seems high to me.

"Everything went pretty well. The only place where there was any room for improvement was scheduling things so we could get a definite date/time lined up. We knew that it would be done most likely by today (15mar2019) and were glad to have the repairs done earlier (14mar2019). After the windstorm we had some shingles blow off of a different part of the house and we were satisfied enough to call them back to give us an estimate and get us scheduled for that repair."

Not everything was perfect from start to finish, but the mark of someone good to work with is that if something isn't how you want it, you talk about with them, they listen, and then they make it right. I am very happy with the end result. The best advice I can give someone considering this company is to have a little patience and don't expect that everything is always going to go according to schedule... the weather and other factors outside your contractor's control often will set things back. The important thing, in my opinion is to end up with a finished product that matches your intent and lasts. This review is being written a couple weeks after the work was completed, so I can't speak to the longevity of the work, but I got everything that I was looking for and don't see any reason that it won't last. One of the delays in my job was due to weather, and maybe some contractors would have gone ahead with work even if conditions were not ideal, but Shaun explained why due to rain the previous day we needed to wait to perform the pour, and I was fine with the delay... I don't doubt that it was the right choice. I also contacted 6 concrete contractors over a 1 year period (3 never returned my calls / texts, and one was almost twice as much) and this company was the best deal."
