The first set of replacement dropdown stairs were too big - not their fault.  I was told by the young woman receiving their calls they would have some drywall for patching; they didn't, so I made a run to exchange the stairs and buy drywall. The drywall repair had to dry and was painted on the return trip. The repairs went well and these are decent people working hard at their trade.  Compared to the Lowe's quote alone for installing the dropdown stairs, they were a better deal.  At the time I believe their offer was $200 for 4 hours of work; it is actually 2 hours of work for the two of them.  They had to drive about an hour to my home.  I would feel comfortable using them again for handyman type repairs.

This is actually the second time I have been asked by AL to write this review; I am not totally happy with AL as they seem to bury the reviews so they are hard to find!

"I originally received his number from the Sherwin Williams store on Montrose. They said he was highly recommended so I didn't give it a second thought when calling him. The whole process was smooth and easy. Steven told me everything that needed to be done. He told me that he would provide everything upfront until the job was done and I was satisfied. He also gave me the option of getting the material myself but told me that he got a better discount and that he could provide me with the receipts which gave a me sense of relief. "A root barrier was recommended by the structural engineer I hired to determine the cause of our house cracking and doors not closing.  A thorough search of Angie's List led me to Rob.  He had excellent reviews and serves our area.  He responded quickly.  He did our root barrier almost immediately because of serendipitous timing and came right back to trim the tops of the barriers that were sticking up because the dirt was settling.  I mean, right back.  Very responsive.  Very friendly.  And, even better, just two-ish months later, and doors that weren't closing in our house are already starting to close.  It's nothing short of miraculous.  I highly recommend Rob.

They gave me an excellent bid price and even after I looked at the damage in better light and told them there was more to be repaired, they still didn't charge me more. They showed up exactly on time, assessed the situation, obtained the necessary materials, and completed the job right away. They actually saved us money because they did such a good job of reattaching the garage door rails that we did not have to call out a garage door repair place. My husband, who is no easy critic, was super-impressed and so was I. I will absolutely contact them with any future projects."
