"Mottern did a fantastic job designing and installing a large flagstone-on-concrete patio for us. The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. "I settled on Custom Stonescaping based on Ron, who came out to give us the estimate, which was by far the most reasonable. Ron spend tons of time explaining the project to me. We needed a new patio because 10 years ago I hastily elected to have a stamped concrete patio put in. Within 2 years, it was noticeably deteriorating. Frustrated that I had spent 75% of what a stone patio would have costed, I looked for someone to fix it, but eventually found that fixing it was not possible. If I wanted it to look good, I would have to start from scratch. Ron promised the flagstone patio would be more durable and look terrific, he was right!
