"Do not hire this individual for your job. I have to rehire someone else or do the work now. I hired Mr. RM Handyman to do some door weatherstripping for my front door. Overall it came out good until I realized he installed part of it wrong so reached out the same day and sent him photos of the error. He said *I am sorry bro but I can come out the next day/day* afterwards. Never showed up. I called/texted him all week then he said he is busy with other jobs, he will come on Friday. Friday same thing, never showed up. I paid him $150 plus an extra $20 tip plus I bought all the materials. Now I have rehired someone else or fix it myself. So much for trying to hire local small businesses and support them, just a waste of time and money. Frustrated homeowner but lesson learned. FYI: I did not schedule them. I put in a request on Angie List/Home Advisor but did not book an appointment. But somehow they got a request for an appointment for 11:30 is today with me. A bit strange but something to beware of using Angie/Home Advisor. He did call me and missed his call at 10:30 am which would have cleared up my shock when I saw them show up at my door. A bit reluctant to do the job because just wanted an estimate and had other affairs to take care of but decided to give them the job."
