"This was our second time using Diaz for our painting and home renovations. Once again he and his team did an amazing job. For this job, we had Diaz paint our hallway and master, redo our stairs and stair railing, re-finish and stain the hardwood floors, remove old baseboard heaters, and do a complete renovation of our upstairs bathroom (new paint, new floors, new vanity, new toilet, new lighting, new exhaust fan, etc.). He also helped haul out old furniture, removed an old (non-functional) oil gas tank from the basement, and replaced a broken storm door. One of the great things about working with Diaz is that the answer is always yes. His team is more than just painters - he has skilled craftsmen, workers with expertise in plumbing and electric, and everything else. There is no need to deal with anyone else. As with any major project, there were a few bumps in the road. But Diaz worked through the curveballs with good communication. They finished on-time and on budget, and the results were perfect. "Overall, I would say I'm 80 percent satisfied with the work performed by US Granite Marble Inc. It appears that they order one slab for my kitchen job, but it was not enough. One kitchen cabinet was moved to compensate for one countertop not being long enough. As a result, it exposed a little more than a half inch of sheet rock that had never been painted and a gap in my floor tile that had originally been covered with the bottom cabinet molding. Upon completion, they moved my refrigerator over to cover this imperfection. I was asked whether they could bring the large slabs through my garage instead of the front door. I have a pantry connected to my garage...so there is a pantry door and a garage door. Working in my office I noticed a large fly come into the room and when I went to the kitchen they had both the garage door and pantry door open letting in not only bugs but heat from outside on a high humidity day. I closed the pantry door and as long as I was in the kitchen they would close the door behind themselves. After they left for the day, I noticed that my air condition was not cutting off as usual. Checking the thermostat, I realized that they had dropped the temperature in my house to compensate for them leaving both doors open. The next day the owner stopped by to view and address my concerns. He tried to make what appeared to be excuses for the movement of my cabinet. He stated "I'm noy saying they moved the cabinet, but if they did, I'll find out why. Now the owner is the one who measured my kitchen project and if he had noticed and/or seen the gap I believe he would have noted it or brought it to my attention that his company would not be liable for this discrepancy. It's been a week, and the owner has not followed up with me to resolve this issue."

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"

Blase Skully, project supervisor and quality assurance manager, was always available to answer many questions and provide advice as we refined the scope of work and the project progressed. He made sure they delivered exactly what we were seeking to accomplish. Blase was also sensitive to ensuring that the historic look of the house was maintained and enhanced by the materials they used and the work they did. The result is beautiful. We get many complements on our new roof and gutters. We highly recommend American Custom Contractors."

"We woke up one more recently and the temperature in the house was intolerably cold. I had the thermostat set on 75, which was much higher than we even usually have it, but even when I would switch the fan from Auto to Blow, the system seemed to cut on for a couple minutes and then just die, and it was blowing cold air. I was so worried because I was afraid to call an unknown company, and the people I'd worked with in the past weren't answering because it was so early in the morning. I called AQP and they answered right away (it was before 7AM) and said they could be here in an hour. When the technician arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and said he would have the part replaced and the system running within a couple hours, which he did. By afternoon, our house was warm again, and the cost was extremely affordable. I will definitely hire them again!"
