"They did an excellent job! They were very professional, and even sent an email with a picture of the employee coming to my home to do the service. I definitely recommend their services."

"The installers showed up about 30 minutes later than I expected. They were very nice, and did the whole job in one day. The carpet looked great when they left and my wife and I are very happy we went with the think pad and thicker carpet (although it was 500 dollars more expensive) than the original one Darryl recommended as being adequate. My wife and I really do not like carpet because of the cleaning involved and usually prefer hardwood/tile/laminate products but I must say that this winter getting out of bed and stepping on this carpet is an awesome experience. NOT COLD and very soft. <br /> All the furnititure was moved and returned and I was impressed with that because it is very heavy. <br />"

"Majestic carpets have been to my home twice now over the past two years. They have cleaned my carpets and furniture. It is always a pleasure to have them here. They do great work, last time was on short notice, and are affordable. I definitely look forward to using them next time I need to have the carpets done."

"He is excellent. I use him a couple of times in the year usually. He is prompt, on time and does a fantastic job. He moves my furniture and sets it up on the foam blocks to dry, so I never have any stains on my carpet from the wood furniture that may have stains that moisture would mess up the carpet or anything. He does a great job. I have been using him for 8 years. I really like this guy. I called him before one time when my pet made a dreadful mess. His schedule was full that day, but he came after he had all the other work and helped me with that mess; otherwise, it would have ruined that carpet, if it would have sat there for days or anything. I cleaned it up, but some things are just dreadful and it got to be attended as quickly as possible. He also uses the materials that are of the high quality."

"Exceptional job by John Newberry! Almost 40 years of experience and strong endorsements from previous customers from Angie's list were the determining factors to contract this professional. Very service oriented, friendly, professional, prompt. His level of service and expertise were next level! Always on time and worked on my carpet project as if it were his own house. Both John and Josh were terrific. I can't say enough great things about them and would most certainly recommend them to my family and friends. <br />"

"It's tough to rate my experience. <br /> The company is great. The installers were the pits. <br /> A 2 day job lasted 10 days. <br /> Amanda (Mgr./Owner?) selected the <strong>wrong</strong> installers. <br /> <em>Tony and his son Ryan had told them they had installed 2 floors using this new product.</em> The product is Alterna Mesa Stone. I pity the previous 2 owners. <br /> I don't know the last names of the installers. <em>They were incompetent. </em> I supplied Tony with a printout from Armstrong on how the tile should be installed. He either can't read or said to himself, and quot;I've always done it this way and will not changeand quot;. <br /> The installation of this product is different from ceramic tile as detailed in instructions provided by Armstrong. <br /> They applied some black and quot;levelingand quot; product. They came back the next day and had to remove it and reapply more. This is highly smelly stuff. They came back the next day to start installing the tile. They ran out of grout because they had not followed Armstrong's installation method. 3-4 days later (needed to order special grout) they came back to finish the job. The next day was the clean up. Tony was using Windex and rubbing the surface as if it was delicate glass. The correct product was a cleaner supplied by Armstrong which cuts through the grout mess they left behind. Tony said, and quot; This is the stuff (Windex) we always use. <br /> He had No clue he wasn't cleaning anything. Neither did he seem to care. <br /> Amanda and her (manager?) came out to clean and correct trim work they had messed up. They spent several hours cleaning and correcting the trim work. I myself spent an additional 6 hours on my knees doing additional scrubbing. The directions state, <em><strong>and quot;DO NOT</strong> spread grout over entire surfaceand quot;</em>. DUH! They did. That's why they ran out of grout and why clean up was so difficult. <br /> Tony may know what he's doing when it comes to ceramic tile. He doesn't seem to want to learn new techniques when it comes to installing Armstrong and quot;Premium Tile Flooringand quot;. This product was more expensive than ceramic tile but looks better and is much nicer on the feet. <br /> I'm very happy with this company and and quot;Alterna Tileand quot; by Armstrong. <br /> Run like h*** if Tony and his son Ryan are the installers for this product. <br />"

"Our house had 15 year old carpet downstairs and upstairs in the bedrooms. We wanted to replace the carpet upstairs but wanted hardwood installed on the main level. We called Mack's Flooring because they had installed hardwood floors in a previous home 25 years ago. Mack's owner came and talked to us about the options available to us. We chose to have hardwood installed and finished as opposed to prefinished floors. They were very professional and pointed out many things we had not considered. They suspected we had fiberboard under the carpet rather than plywood. They included installing plywood in their estimate. I'm glad they did because we did in fact have fiberboard under the carpet. Over a period of two weeks they removed the carpet and installed the new subfloor. They laid the hardwood and finished it without damaging the moulding or door frames. They also installed plastic to prevent the dust from going upstairs. The job turned even better that we expected. We were so pleased with the outcome we had them install hardwood on the stairs going upstairs. That involved rebuilding the stairs to accomodate the hardwood. Their work was flawless and best of all it turned out exactly as they said it would and cost what they estimated. It's been two years since they installed our floors and we are as please today as we were the day they finished."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Clinton, TN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
