"We hired Fireplace Freddie to inspect and fix our 100-year-old fireplace & chimney, making it safe to burn real wood again. Nick and Scott came out quickly, and used cameras to inspect. During the inspection Nick visually showed me what the issues were. He also verbally suggested the fix. After the inspection, we received pics and a price quote to fix the issues by installing a stainless steel sleeve in the chimney. We sent the pics and info to 3 other businesses to compare prices. After speaking with Nick numerous times, including 2 conversations with my old school contractor buddy who asked Nick just about every ridiculous question he could possibly think of, Nick remained cool and answered all of his questions. Nick also agreed to do the job with a permit from LADBS which they included in the price, so we decided Fireplace Freddie was the right company to do the job. Patrick was our installer. He had a co-worker, but I didn't catch his name. They showed up on time, covered the floor and furniture and did their job. It took a few days as they said it would, but they were on time, clean and friendly. Each day they came, they covered everything. Each night, they cleaned up and uncovered everything before they left. Patrick also dealt with our LADBS inspector who admittedly was not well versed in chimney repair. Patrick was very friendly, gave the inspector the information he needed including printed specs from the manufacturer, and we passed inspection w/o issue. Scott came back 1 week later to test the fireplace. He lit a fire to make sure it was all good, and it is. To sum it all up, everyone was friendly and professional. The job went super smooth, and we are able to use our wood burning fireplace again, safely. I would highly recommend Fireplace Freddie. A+"

"Jeff was extremely thorough and did a fantastic job! I also liked the way he cleaned up so well after he was done!! And he wanted to be sure that cleaning the vents got rid of the weird odor in my house, so he came back on his own time to recheck! I would definitely use this company again, and would request Jeff as the technician!"

"We were very lucky to have Adam on the job. Due to our ignorance about the home improvement world, we may not really appreciate or understand how fortunate we were to work with him. From beginning to end, he provided unwavering and dedicated support of the project. His character came through with great clarity from day 1. Going into any home improvement project can be very daunting and to say we were intimidated is an understatement. The anxiety eased as we came to recognize that Adam is someone we can trust. He has impeccable attention to detail (sometimes keeping him up at night unfortunately), and above all else, he's very conscientious and thoughtful. I'd say the majority of the considerations and decisions made were based off of Adam's thoughtfulness in anticipation of our needs - especially regarding our two young boys. Also, he really made a great effort to make the process as easy as possible on our family once the work started. For example, he was always on time and always available for questions and really went above and beyond to keep the work he was performing neat and tidy (essentially keeping it sealed off from the rest of our house). Our son has been dealing with asthma and the dust generated during the remodel process was nearly undetectable due to his extreme and appreciated efforts. The integrity and quality of Adam's work is extremely high. In addition, his team of subcontractors (e.g. painters, demolition, etc.) matched his high quality of work. I'm sure there were many opportunities where he could have taken an easier route or decided to do just enough to get the job done. However, I never felt like he ever compromised the integrity of his work down to the smallest of details. If anything, I felt like he was constantly trying to exceed his own personal standards on a consistent basis. My wife and I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Adam. <br />"

"We have a 4200 sq. ft. home with two air/heating units. He explained to us what he was doing, what he saw, and showed us that the filters had not been installed properly. He showed us the old filters so we could see the problem. He showed us the damage the dirty air from the filters was causing our drapes as it blew dirty air onto them. He sprayed disinfectant and bacteria spray into the vents. Our housekeeper noticed we had much less dust in the house after having this service performed. We will definitely be calling them again. Great service, great service professional. <br />"

"Patrick was there first thing in the morning to start work. They deconstructed the corner of the wall, replaced blocks and put in rebar to hold everything together correctly. They restucco'd the entire wall and came back the next day to paint it. They even used the unused material to fix a corner of my house that had the stucco knocked off when the concrete was redone. I'm very, very happy with the work Patrick did and would definitely use his services again. <br />"

"I was told by the person who answered the phone that the minimum service charge was $95 to come out to my home and diagnose the problem. I asked if they could replace the thermocoupler when they arrived and was told they do not carry parts on their truck so another service call at $95 would also be required plus parts. The Thermocoupler is a standard item on a gas fireplace and typically sells for $10-$20 online or at Home Depot. It seems ridiculous that a specialized fireplace repair company would not carry this kind of part on their truck. It would have cost me a minimal of $190 before parts to have this repair done by Quality Fireplace. I choose not to have the service completed and fixed the issue by myself."

"I have had a lot of time go by without replacing my doors. I've brushed it off for a while, but when they came to my home i realized its time. I made an appointment and just like that i was already going to replace the two doors i had in mind. Adi was a great salesman too he made sure the work was done right. it took a while but they were okay with my hectic schedule and sure made it simple for me."

"Excellent service. Fred came out as scheduled and within the week I received documents covering both his findings and his proposal, including photos of what the finished product looks like in a similar home. His crew of two came out 2 weeks later, as scheduled, and installed the Universal Foundation Plates (UFP) under the house at 6-foot intervals in about 7 hours. Attached image is of a typical UFP installation. The price included the Culver City building permit, which Fred insisted on obtaining. The crew did an excellent job and the Culver City inspector agreed. I highly recommend Fred and his company for earthquake retrofitting. Also, paying under $3,000 to retrofit a single-story house is much, much cheaper than earthquake insurance."
