"Advil was fantastic and every individual that we interfaced with I can't be more complimentary. Andy was very professional and gave us good advice during the quote process. The demo guys were incredibly clean. The cabinet refacer became a friend and gave good guidance. The countertop team worked hard and delivered early and installed quickly. The plumber also came early and we were back in business quickly. And I can't forget Debbie the coordinator who was incredibly awesome to orchestrate this project."

"Michael came and measured the kitchen carefully and told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks for delivery.  The cabinets arrived on time at the four week mark, and everything looked great.  One drawer didn't match the others well, and they immediately took it back and had a replacement drawer ready in two days.  Their prices are great and once the cabinets were installed by my contractor they fit perfectly.  I am very happy with the result."

"We hired this  company because of their experience and professionalism. This is a family owned (father & son) business with many years of experience. The estimate was delivered promptly with detailed explanations, and our many questions were answered without hesitation.  The work was performed and completed as scheduled, The workers were efficient, respectful and friendly.  We highly recommend JV Cabinet Makers .    Jaime (son) knows what he is doing and always first to arrive.   His father spent a good portion of one day going ?above and beyond? what we agreed upon by adding to an existing built in wine rack and utility cabinet.   His suggestions and workmanship truly made our entire kitchen look ?beautiful?.   For us, customer service, trust, professionalism, concern for our home and value are critical factors when selecting any vendor. JV Cabinet Makers receives an A+ in all categories  from this customer. Our cabinets are beautiful and working with Villagrana family was a genuine, stress-free pleasure.  Hire them for your job! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Cobb, CA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
