"I came across this company by accident.  I was out looking at granite and stumbled across a wholesaler while looking for another company.  I found a few slabs that I loved.  When I spoke to someone who worked there, they told me they were a wholesaler and deal with the fabricators.  The woman gave me the name and number of this company and said they did amazing work.  <br /> As soon as I got home, I emailed.  Received a response back from Trevor.  Rather than go through emails, I called and spoke to Mark, the owner.  I told him what I was looking to do and which slabs I liked.  After discussion, I selected a stone and Mark came out to take measurements.  He said they worked Saturdays so I would not need to take a day off of work.  <br /> Mark and crew showed up right on time and immediately got to work.  The kitchen had ugly formica throughout, including a wine rack/bar cabinet that was custom built.  That piece looked like it would be a bear to remove/replace the formica but they managed to do it.  The work was done in less than two hours and the granite looks amazing!  <br /> I also wanted to do a tile backsplash and they put me in touch with someone who does it for a reasonable price. <br /> I am incredibly happy with the work that was done and will be using this company again when I am ready to renovate my bathrooms.  <br /> Thanks Mark and crew!! <br />"

"Our house in northern Virginia (Chantilly) needed an upgrade to our powder room and master bathroom after 25 years since we moved here. We found a number of recommended contractors via Angie’s List and had some of the contractors visit to survey and give us estimates. We selected FTB Tile and Marble form Woodbridge, Virginia and we are very pleased that we did. The owner of FTB, Frank, conducted the surveys himself, and communicated ideas, options, process and schedule, then sent designs and price quotes for both bathrooms. The professionalism, honesty and competence shown by Frank during the survey, and the detailed statements of work and clarity and reasonableness of projected costs caused us to select FTB over other contractors. We proceeded with the Powder Room first to see how FTB would perform before we signed a contract for the larger and significantly more complex renovation of the master bathroom. After meeting with FTB’s recommended designers and selecting tile, vanity, toilet and fixtures, Frank adjusted the details and costs to match our selections, and all within our budget. The renovation of the powder room was completed in 9 days and involved demolition and then installation of new floor tile, toilet, vanity, lights, mirrors, fan, plumbing, electrical and fixtures, as well painting walls, ceiling, door and trim. A project manager was assigned, and the installers, Walter, who has worked for the company for 17 years, and Alfred, were amazing – professional, competent, responsive and pleasant. They worked tirelessly every day and always kept the premises clean. The outcome was a beautiful, new powder room which gave us compete confidence to proceed with FTB to renovate the master bathroom. The process was repeated – updated survey by Frank, meeting with the design consultants, updating the scope of work for the selections we made – again within our budget – ordering and delivery of materials, demolition and renovation. We were fortunate to have Walter and Alfred return to do the bulk of the work which was complete under schedule in 5 weeks with the exception of the shower glass which was purposely scheduled a week later to ensure accurate measurements and fit. This project involved enlarging the bathroom, including the shower and installation of a new stand-alone tub, and required demolition of a wall and installation of a new wall, and relocation of plumbing and electrical, painting, etc. In the middle of the renovation, the pandemic began to hit and FTB team took great pains to keep isolated from us while communicating effectively from a distance to complete the project. The end-result was an absolutely gorgeous bathroom. We highly recommend FTB Tile and Marble."

"The job was done extremely well <br /> <br /> Think they ran into a little issue in that the back splash was a bit taller than accounted for so they had to remove the full wall mirror as well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> They did damage the wallpaper which couldn't be repaired, but here is where Anga really shines. <br /> <br /> Without me even asking, Anga took it upon himself to offer striping all of the wallpaper & paint the whole bathroom so as to correct this. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The contractors he sent were excellent, and it took them about a day and a 1/2 to finish everything, which included a primer, a full coat with the color of our choice, as well as painting the ceiling as well, fixing some nail pops and general repair. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> I would recommend Anga & Merrifield to anyone wanting to do similar work. <br /> <br /> The results are excellent and Anga its all about satisfying his customers."

"We recently hired Fairfax Marble and Granite to replace our kitchen countertops, the top of a kitchen island, and a countertop in a small powder room. They also installed new sinks in the kitchen and powder room. The choices of stone and the prices were excellent, and the quality of the preparatory design work, measurements, installation (including plumbing), and service were outstanding. We did not replace our cabinets, however we did have new appliances. The team was very careful both with removing the old countertops and working around the new appliances, in a tight space. Mehmet and his entire team were flexible and helpful at every turn. The original sales person had left during the early stages of the process, but the team worked around the change without losing a beat. The attention to detail in laying out the counter pieces with us and in fitting everything together along the natural lines in the stone was great. This is the place to go. <br />"

"<p>We wanted to update our bathroom with 2 granite countertops, and replacement sinks and  fixtures.   We found a remnant  slab of granite we liked at Blue Isle, and their price quote was less than the other estimate we got.  Working with Tamara was a pleasure.  She really went "above and beyond" to make sure that we were happy with the result.  I voiced some concern about the fact that we only saw one slab of granite, but the job required a second slab which we had never seen.  Tamara made sure that the slab was from the same "lot number", which meant that it would be compatible.  She sensed that I was still concerned, so she invited us to come to the workroom to view the layout of the granite pieces before they were cut.  My schedule made that difficult, so she took the initiative to send pictures of the "layout" on both granite slabs.  The granite installation went smoothly and the results look great!   In addition, the crew did a fabulous job of clean-up.  Tamara coordinated the water hook-up with a plumbing company, cheerfully making several changes to accommodate our schedule.  We are so happy with our new bathroom!  We would not hesitate to recommend Blue Isle for superb workmanship and customer service that can't be beat!</p> <br />"
