"In general, they performed the work in the contract, so that was good. My only disappointment was that there are different types of deck waterproofing and sealing, and (in retrospect) I wish they had been a little more 'consultative' in the pre-sales phase, explaining the options to me so that I could make an educated decision on the choice of sealant and color. After the job was performed they did call me to discuss the minor concerns I raised. That conversation was very helpful, and I appreciate their concern about my satisfaction. My only suggestion to Mel is to have that conversation BEFORE the job to manage the customer's expectations."

"Excellent. He was extremely professional and very friendly. Easy to get along with. Did some extras that just added to the final product. Has a great work ethic (worked through those humid 95 degree days).  He also made some revisions that actually cut the cost of the project. We would definitely bring him back for work on our property. Last, he cleaned up everything, nothing was left in the yard or on the sidewalks.

"We are having a fence put up along our property lines and needed several shrubs and small trees cleared out. I called Freestate on Friday, the 25th and was able to set up an estimate for the following Sunday morning. Ben showed up on time, gave an estimate and confirmed they would be able to get me on the schedule for that week.
He promised to follow up with me right away to confirm the details. I received a voicemail later in the day confirming that we were on the schedule for the following day! We had a couple emails back and forth and received extremely fast responses each time.
As promised, the crew came out on Monday and removed everything. They did a great job clearing everything out without leaving any debris. The stumps were also ground out and my lot looks like there were never any shrubs/ trees planted in that location.
We had a great experience from the first phone call through the completion of the job and would recommend them to anyone needing tree work.

"It did not go well. I did not pay anything more. We discussed several projects and he was supposed to get back to me with pricing and he never did. He completed some work. The work he did was satisfactory. He did not have the proper tools to complete the work. It was up to three pieces of siding. I had three pieces that had fallen off the house, in different areas. One of those pieces broke when it fell. So I had gone ahead and purchased replacement siding, which I had there when he arrived. The piece I had bought required him to make one cut so it would fit. He said, "I don't have a saw with me to cut that." I thought it was odd that someone who is coming to work on vinyl siding would not have a saw with him, to cut a piece of vinyl siding. So essentially, he put the broken piece back up on the house. We discussed other projects, he made a list and then never responded."
