"Well, I knew it was time for a new roof. Based on its age and just looking at it, I knew it. I had put off this decision for quite a while now, but yes, now was the time to finally invest in a new roof. Would I rather spend the money on a Hawaiian vacation or perhaps a new Zero Turn Lawnmower yard toy? Maybe, but if I am thinking clearly and correctly, not really! I knew a great roof replacement would add great protection not only for the home, but for me and my loved ones. It provides peace of mind, dynamic curb appeal, and one less big worry. When looking for a new roof, I’m sure like a lot of you have or are doing, I checked around a bit and chatted with a couple of neighbors, family, and friends. They also have an “Operation Payback” Awards program that provides a free new roof to an American Veteran every year. That was amazing, and along with their many exemplary reviews, I had to check them out further and made a call. Jim DelPrete, President came out to visit with me in short order and assessed my particular and specific roofing needs and presented all the relevant options and recommendations and some needed do’s and don’ts. After speaking with him, I was confident about their services and capabilities, the materials, and the process, steps and timeline for the job. I also felt that the project cost was very competitive, reasonable, and fair. From contract to materials delivery to house prep and to the completed roof and cleanup, the project went along quite smoothly. I am very pleased with my new roof. I really am and I would like to publicly thank Jim, Elias, Sean, Samantha, and the whole crew. "I'll start by saying. I don't usually write reviews but my experience with Karales Home improvement was very positive. Get ready for a long one. Like many others, I utilized Home Adviser to look for Roofing specialists. I met with Mike Karales the same day as our initial phone conversation. He arrived, mask on, ready work with me. He took the time to understand my needs and provided me a very fair quote on the spot. He also explained the whole process to ensure I understood what he was offering. Mike worked with me on our scheduling needs. All of the materials arrived the morning of the work but it ended raining out that day so things were pushed to the next morning. The next day, the dumpster was dropped off, Mike and his trusted crew , some with him for over 17 years, arrived first thing in the morning. They waved hi and got to work immediately. Mike went over again, what to expect, etc. and his team started tarping all around the house, prepping the tools, 30 minutes later they get to work. 2 or 3 on the roof, all with specific roles. another couple of guys cleaning around the house and sweeping throughout the job. The team worked like a well oiled machine and I don't even think they took a break. The whole job was completed by Noon. The tarp catching all of the debris, the constant cleaning and sweeping, the magnetic device to further find any nails that may have fallen astray. I literally walked around my house looking for nails or an old shingle or anything really and not one thing out of place, not one nail, nothing! They left the jobsite cleaner than when they arrived. One word. Meticulous! Mike came by to inspect and ensure everything was done properly and that I was happy. From A to Z, short of writing a check, I didn't have to lift a finger or worry. Permits, dumpster, installation, cleanup they took care of it all. The Karales team was experienced, efficient, hard working and meticulous. They are Just straight out insanely good at what they do. Hats off to these guys. In by 8am gone by noon. You wouldn't have known they showed up and replaced the roof. My neighbor left for work prior to their arrival and came back home for lunch. I told them i had a new roof done just this morning and they couldn't believe it. Insane!, Good Job Mike Karales and Team."

"I had a roof replaced on m detached garage including all wood. Also had a small flat roof replaced. Both were in bad shape and for the flat roof that I had to redo the joists and outer wood. I have used them twice now and in both cases they were very responsive to phone calls and was able to schedule both jobs very quickly. In both cases they took their time to make sure the underlying surface/wood was replaced and fixed prior to roofing."

"We had a project to repair a leak on a small Copper and Rubber roof. We started by looking at Angie's list to find roofers in the Watertown area and immediately Capital construction lept to the top. Their reviews were literally through the roof. I can also say that our own experience with them met and surpassed the reviews I had read. When I called, they immediately answered and were able to come out and assess the situation within 2 days. I met with Jude and Dave and I found them to be knowledgable, professional, honest and very easy to work with. We got a quote at that point and went ahead with scheduling the project. The whole team at Capital Construction kept us informed on the status and when they could come out to repair the roof. They worked with me to find a good date/time. "Lately, our roof had been showing stain and moss all over the surface. In addition, after windy rainstorms, we were finding water stains on our interior walls and ceilings as well as various shingle pieces throughout our yard. So, along with my husband, David, I began to do research on companies that replace roofs on residential houses. As part of this process, we talked to our friend Tina Delatina Rosa who is the Quality Assurance, Marketing and Events Coordinator for Solid State Construction. This led to Tina and Rob Blanchflower, a Project Consultant for Solid State, visiting our home on January 17 to assess our needs. With absolutely no pressure but lots and lots of professionalism and competence, Tina and Rob studied our roofing structure both inside and outside, including a tough to get into and out (for former NFL tight end Rob) assessment of our attic space. In a relaxed presentation around the dining room table, Rob told us who Solid State Construction and their product supplier, GAF, are. Everything was clearly explained; from old roof removal to installation of new underlayment and ventilation systems and finally of the GAF shingle product. GAF guarantees this product for 50 years if it is installed complying with GAFâ  s strict standards and, of course, Solid State Construction is a certified GAF installer. The price was actually higher than some of the other options we looked at, but the comprehensiveness of Robâ  s presentation and the absolute pride he exuded while describing the merits of Solid State and GAF convinced David and me that this is the way to go. On Saturday, March 21, Tina along with Solid State Construction Assistant Project Manager, Nick Keegan, showed up early in the morning with eight workers. Watching these men during the day I realized just how well trained and experienced a crew Nick was overseeing. Of immediate note to me was that right from the beginning at least one worker was assigned to clean up. No having a giant heap of a mess to clean up at the end of the day when everyone is tired and wants to go home. Along the way and after removing the old roof, previously unseen problems appeared. This required replacement of rotted structural boards and cross members which Nick had his men do without looking to nickel and dime us in the process. A good-sized portion of our roof covers a family room that we added to the house years ago. It was covered with regular shingles, but Nick advised me that a far superior covering because of the pitch of the roof would be rubber. So, right there while actually carrying out the work activity, a significant change in scope was made with no increase in cost or time to complete the project. At the end of the day, with only a few minor items that were taken care of the next morning, the project was done and everything was cleaned up. The quality of the final product fully reflects the expertise and professional workmanship of Nick Keegan and his extremely hard-working project team. Two of our neighbors spent years in the construction trades and they came over to tell David this is complete quality and professional job. One, usually skeptical, said, â  Dave, when they told you to put rubber rather than regular shingles over the family room, thatâ  s when I knew these guys knew what they were doing.â  We couldnâ  t say it better. We are totally pleased and satisfied with our roof replacement provided by Solid State Construction and its product supplier GAF. We very strongly recommend them. Oh, of course, we had some questions after everybody left. No problem, David just called Nick Keegan who responded right away."
