"We had a great experience with Westside Building and Restoration, Inc. Initially, we called Westside to look at our front and back porch roofs. Alan advised that the front porch only need very little minor repair, to correct the drainage. And the back roof would need considerable more. I was afraid to hear what that would cost. I was able to do my own research prior to committing and Alan's cost to repair the back porch roof was right on par and a little better. The team arrived on time from the onset, finished the job without delay and went over all of the repairs. With that being said, I asked Alan to do a few more minor repairs such as installing a window and repair the hinges, wood work on the carport doors. Buckey took the extra step to put vinyl on the top portion of the doors to prevent future wood rot. Buckey and Chris was so kind, wonderful to talk too and so professional. My neighbors stopped by to see the final jobs and was so impressed, now Alan has new customers. The Westside office team always responded to my text or emails if we had questions. The Westside team worked around our schedule. in the end, we are so happy Alan and his team made this process run smoothly. The final projects turned out great!!!"

"Greg ROCKS!!! This was an emergency! I needed services rendered immediately as guests were coming and all else fell through. Greg called a day before and assured me that he would be at the house by 7:30 the morning of. Not only did he arrive on time, he went over and beyond to help me make it through! He installed a door, disassembled 2 queen beds and rails, put them out, assembled new queen beds, put up 3 tv's, and assisted me with so many other projects all at a great and fair price! "Gary and his son exceed our expectations. I had already met with a number of contractors before coming across Colgar Enterprises on Angie’s List. After my husband met with Gary, we didn’t need to look any further. Gary and his son do all the work themselves and dedicate themselves to a project from beginning to end. He is a true craftsman in every sense of the word. He even creating beautiful custom moldings for our windows and doors that matched the style of our house when most moldings available were traditional in style. His price is very reasonable and appreciated the fact that he also communicates clearly and is very personable. We felt comfortable approaching Gary with any suggestions that we had. Our project didn’t start until the wintertime due to delays with our permit. It was a tough winter with multiple Nor’easters, but Gary and his son were tougher. They would even show up after a snowstorm and work on anything that was possible. As the photos attached show, the addition is on the second story of the house though we chose not to build out the first level below it. There were some serious heights to contend with, but they were very careful. The finished room is more stunning than I imagined it would be. It was all in the details. Gary is uncompromising in the materials that he uses. He has picked through numerous pieces of lumber so he could use only the best pieces on our project. He advised us to use Azek to trim our windows on the outside, in order to save money in the long run. He is cost-conscious and let us know when it was better to repair vs. replace. Additional new windows that Gary and his son replaced around our house are beautifully installed. He even fixed a difficult window that we weren’t ready to replace! I thought we would have to replace all of the cedar siding on the back of our house (as one siding company had suggested), but with decades of experience behind him and careful inspection, Gary found that only certain pieces of cedar needed to be replaced. I had dodged a major bill. We are using his electricians to help us complete the project and so far their work has been excellent. Gary had just finished his portion of the project last week. Though we are in the middle of the exterior paint project that one of his painters is taking care of, I didn’t want to wait to share my experience with anyone looking for a general contractor. Gary and his son made the whole process so much easier than we expected. We are grateful that we found Gary through Angie’s List. Thank you!
