"The cleaning went well and the fireplace brick repair and replace was more involved. Alan did a great job and offered solutions for cutting the new brick and keeping the look nice and safe. I'd definitely hire him again!"

"everything was good, tech was (Arron) but then needed follow up to measure flue and order spark arrestor, and install. I needed to provide custom path on lightweight cement tiles. when I got that done, measured chiminy flue, central admin called me back and said would get back t.o me. never did. that was a couple or three months ago. Proceeding on my own solution"

"After all the work was done, he vacuumed around / in front and top of stove, carpet in front. Showed me the inside of the flue, and the condition of the chimney cover (was a fire hazard waiting to happen). <br />"

". We visited the store, and chatted with Carol Rocha, who was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We explained what we were looking for, and our budget. She showed us some examples in her showroom, and we arranged a time for her installer (Gerardo) to come and check our existing fireplace for the appropriate size, and also establish any possible problems.  <br /> Gerardo was right on time, and very pleasant. He checked the inner dimensions of the fireplace, the outside venting, and the possibility of raising the fire insert so that it would be more visible when sitting on the sofas. He answered all our questions, explained how the installation could be modified without too much expense, etc. Carol contacted us with a pricing for the gas insert, venting kit, installation, and also the cost of raising the fireplace, all within 24 hours. We felt it very fair as it was the complete price, no surprises, and they would remove the old fireplace and all the peripheral mess. She had a choice of dates for the installation, and we chose the most convenient one (although we could have had it installed within a week of Gerado measuring the fireplace). Carol gave us a time (8.30 -9.30 am) and Gerado with Francisco arrived bang on 8.30 am. They laid out protective sheets over the floor (even though we are replacing the carpet, but it was much appreciated!), and then brought in the fireplace. Even though we had decided not to raise the fireplace (thinking of the budget), when Gerado brought out the surround, my husband said that it would probably look a million times better if we raised it 3 inches. Gerardo was very patient and we looked to see how we could maximise the height of the insert. As we had initially said we wouldn't raise the insert, Gerardo didn't have the materials on hand to achieve this. But he was happy to go and get the necessary boards, etc to build a support under the insert. Francisco carried on with the prep work, and fitting the new chimney cap while Gerardo went to the store. It was only an additional $375 to raise it, which included the materials and labor. It was definitely worth it. As they had to cut, grind, bolt, etc the process took until 2pm. But they were quiet, efficient, and very tidy. They brought their own lunch (but I don't think they ate until the job was over!), and left the living room immaculate.  <br /> Carol called the next day to check that all had gone as planned. We were more than happy, but did say that the chimney cap base needed to be trimmed from a square to a round so that it wouldn't be so odd looking (HOA architectural review committee came by as the installation was happening, and requested that it match the other homes in the community). Carol completely understood, and as they live close by, said that her husband would trim it with tin snips at no extra charge. As it was an exterior job, we wouldn't need to be at home. Perfect!  <br /> From the word go, Carol was helpful, efficient and great to deal with. Her estimate was very descriptive, with the complete list of features that would be included in the price, the installation, and the discount (very nice!). The fireplace looks great, and Gerardo showed us the various ways to operate the fire, and took his time to answer all our questions - even though he had another appointment after us. He was unfailingly friendly, helpful and patient. He told us that our satisfaction was very important to him, and that he wanted us to be happy with our fireplace. We are! Thank you so much Carol, Gerardo and Francisco. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a new insert, fireplace, or any other heating matter. <br />"

"<p>The arrived on time 2 guys and they got right to it.  We have a composition roof good for 40 years and its been 25 years or so.  Roof itself is in.  They removed all the rot which was really bad in a few spots.  We have a two story house so there was work on that level too.  They were able to bring me the new wood replacements several days before since painting is not part of a roofing service.  I painted the pre-treated wood with trim and wall paint to avoid hiring a painter after the repairs especially since we had a 2nd story.  It was easy for me and they put it all in place and did touch up paint to anything they marked while attaching the new pieces.  Everything was done in about 6 hours.  They cleaned up and took all the debris with them.  Very courteous.</p> <p>I will definitely call them for anything in the future for repairs or a new roof if needed.</p> <p>Had another estimate and it was a bit less but they didn't pay attention to the details during our conversation with the same questions given Cal Vintage.  </p> <p>Kevin their representative who came out initially was very thorough and easy to talk with.  He was very responsive with my calls back to him on a few items.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"This was a small repair job, not a new installation. Several other companies weren't interested or never called back. American Eagle replied promptly and sent an estimator out within a week. The work was completed on schedule for a reasonable price. Great job, thanks American Eagle!"

"We contacted Straightline Construction to replace our house’s skylight that had a large crack in it (previously plastic). Phil, the Project Manager, was extremely professional and measured our skylight for replacement. He provided us with multiple options, from a standard glass replacement to skylights with shades (manual or solar). We decided on the skylight with a solar shade. Straightline made the process extremely easy. We absolutely loved how it turned out, very high quality. The two person installation team did a great job and even installed the remote to open and close the shade in our kitchen. While installing the skylight they also sealed exposed nails and painted and resealed flashings. I highly recommend Straightline for your roofing needs. (I forgot to take before pictures of the inside of the old skylight. You could hardly see out of it and there was a large crack. Now we see clearly out of it.)"

"Called Terri on June 12,2019 and left a message. She returned call quickly and we scheduled an estimate date of June 25. She arrived as agreed and took a detailed look at the deck and patio cover. We discussed the work she suggested: replace all patio decking and support beams as needed; determined that the patio cover and it's supports were in good condition. She emailed me a detailed estimate that same evening. I approved the estimate, reviewed permit and insurance issues and we scheduled the work to begin on July 11 and to be completed in 2-3 days. Terri and workers arrived as scheduled and the work was completed on time. Preparations, clean-up and debris were addressed completely. Staff was courteous and patient with questions. Highly satisfied. This is my second experience with SHECan2 and I would use them again in the future without hesitation. (Boards at bottom of photo not part of their deck work.)"

"Our 40 year old home is new to us, and we were told by a friend, who is not a professional with chimneys, that we would need a new flue and dampers before we should use our fireplaces, as neither had had chimney caps for years and some rusting had accumulated inside and ruilned the dampers, too. We installed chimney caps to remedy the water damage. Then we found Village Sweep on the internet and called them, explaining we needed an evaluation and quote to replace the flue and dampers.  They service Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Contra Costa Counties and were willing to come all the way to the furthest point of Napa County to our house to do the job, with no extra charges for travel time.  The technician arrived on time and had a cheery disposition.   He looked the part of a Chimney Sweep, but did his job with confidence and professionalism, taking care to minimized soot entering the house as he cleaned the chimneys and thoroughly cleaning up any that did.  During and after cleaning he evaluated the flue and dampers.  He acknowledged the rust but explained the issues clearly and assured us there was no need to replace the flue.  He used lubricant spray and some good old elbow grease and dislodged both dampers back to working order, letting us know that they both were hearty and just needed to be lubricated and used.  He assured us our chimney would work well, explained chimney top damper options, and encouraged us to call for another cleaning after each cord of wood.  We now use our fireplaces every day to heat our house and roast marshmallows with the kids."
