"My experience with Grand Rapids Air Duct & Chimney Cleaning could not have been better! Wilbert did a phenomenal job and put my fears at ease! (I've had 2 other terrible experiences in 2 different states so was starting out from scratch researching and trusting a new company.) We just moved into a 45 year old home, we did a ton of remodeling and have allergies/asthma so we needed the job done with great excellence and care and those hopes were exceeded! There was so much debris (flying through the ducts) and thick clumps of accumulated dust (seen because a couple of our basement ducts were unhooked) that he spent extra time going back and forth and cutting new holes for better removal until he and I were certain the system was clear of debris. He spent longer than the allotted time to be sure they were cleaned well, answered my many questions, showed video of the ducts when I asked, wore boot covers in the home and used the basement window to not track snow and dirt through my home and went above and beyond all my expectations. I expected my allergies to be a problem the first couple days with all the agitation in the vents but was pleasantly surprised to have zero issues! "<p>A whole house energy audit was done; very interesting and cool report to see where all the warm air is escaping. It was well worth having it done. To reduce the cold spots in our house, we had insulation blown into the exterior walls. Baffles and insulation was put in the attic to R-60. They fixed the attic hatch/door. Spray foam was done to the rim joist to seal where the house and basement come together and holes were sealed in the basement blocks. A fire wall and insulation was put in between the garage and house; which I love, did a wonderful job. Sealed all the ductwork, you can tell that it has improved the heat coming into the house. A new exterior front door was put in with insulation around it, they were careful taking the screen door off because I asked if they could reuse it and they did a wonderful job of re-installing it. The vented fans are great and a big improvement. The cupboard in the bathroom was an add on job and a great job was done on it and the cost was very reasonable; I love it. They told me there were some electrical wires in the garage that was just twisted together, which I appreciated so I could get an electrician in to fix it. They answered any questions we had. An excellent job was done and they worked until the project was completed to our satisfaction.</p> <br />"
