"In the last month I have had both of these crews working on my patio and basement wall. I asked them questions and they gave good answers. Tim Boudrean, the crew leader on the wall project, took time to explain the whole process of putting up carbon fiber wall supports. The whole crew seemed to know there jobs well and cleaned up good when they were done. I was pleased with the work done. I must say I had one major complaint about the wall job. The agreement I signed stated I must prepare the basement so they would have access to the wall. It was difficult for me because we have a bathroom against part of the wall. I was afraid the bathroom would be destroyed, so I measured the distances that was needed between the carbon braces. (a lot of Youtube research) I figured that the only part of the bathroom affected would be the sink. The sales rep disagreed and said the shower had to be taken out. I gave in and had the shower taken out. The installation crew actually placed the braces almost exactly where I had marked. The shower did not have to be removed. Mid American Basement should have sent an installer instead of a sales rep to verify the placements. It cost me extra to have the shower removed and will cost more to repair the tear down."

"When my old water heater started leaking, I knew it would have to be replaced, so I chose the company with the largest number of A ratings on Angie's List--Petersen Plumbing and Heating.  With only two exceptions, my experience was very positive.  The person who took my call was pleasant and helpful, and the technician who installed the water heater was great.  He was prompt, efficient, tidy, and friendly.  He hauled away the old water heater and left the work area clean.  The new water heater works fine.  I would like to be able to give a grade of A- instead of an A for two reasons.  First, given the fact that the old water heater was leaking and I had a stream of water running to the floor drain (which I said in my initial phone call) and the service was not to be performed until two days after I called, I wish the person I spoke to had either told me how to shut it down or had offered to send someone to do that.  Second, the person I spoke to simply recommended their most popular replacement, rather than talking with me about options.  I didn't think about it until after the fact (so I take some responsibility), but I would have preferred to install an Energy Star water heater if one was available.  I also think the person on the phone should have asked more questions about number of people in the home and water usage before drawing her own conclusion about the size I needed.  I would definitely call Petersen again, but I would take more initiative with my order next time.

"In 2017, the water table under our house increased. Our finished basement flooded. I contacted several places, most were unresponsive or had a big sales pitches but couldn't get to it for months. Then Absolutely Dry Basement and Waterproofing called back. They told me what needed to be done and I said go. They put in new drain tile throughout the basement and a sump pump. The price was reasonable. I waited for big rains before posting this review. We had several this year and my basement is absolutely dry. Outstanding company."

"If you have an emergency do not call this company. Contacted in September, consultant came first of Octoberand down payment for work was made. Mid- January and only half the job done. While Adao Natario was an excellent professional and did a great job sealing up the wall cracks in the basement,my disappointment with the Company in general is emense. Adao listened to my concerns and I’ll wait to see if the Company responds with appropriate work on the sump pump and discharge issue if they ever show up. Meanwhile, I am surrounded by water in the yard and just hope the sump pump in basement keeps working. Price below reflect only crack repair."

"Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories, Inc. sent a package with 2 vials and instructions for collecting the samples.  I collected the samples as instructed, completed a questionnaire, and returned the sample vials as instructed.  A week or two later they sent the analysis.  Everything went as expected.  There were no problems.

"The workmanship is great, honest and friendly team. We love the system and enjoy having a home filter system for chemical free water. We do not buy bottle water anymore and it saves us a lot of money too! It is well worth the investment."

"I feel bad because this was one of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. I think we had 3 different crews and they were all great. Here's my problem and it wouldn't cause me to not recommend them or use them again myself. From the time I signed the contract to the time the work was scheduled the salesman that I worked with either left or was terminated. When the crew got here they didn't seem to know what to do and asked me if I had planned to provide my own sump pump. One of them also told me that if I would just open the vents in my crawlspace it would dry out on it's own. This is against everything they recommend as I was sold on sealing the crawlspace and I'm glad I did. They have a system called and quot;Ice Guerdand quot; where they bury the discharge line from the pump and have a mechanism to keep it from freezing in the winter. The salesman showed me this and I was lead to believe I was getting it. The crew that came told me they would need another 350.00 to do that so instead I have a 12 foot pipe sticking out into my backyard. I expressed my disappointment on the exit survey and received a nice call from Bix telling me they would be back to install it no charge. Of course I was thrilled thinking this was above and beyond what most contractors would do. I was scheduled twice but had to be cancelled because of rain. I sent an e-mail a couple of months ago asking about it but did not receive a reply and I called a month ago and talked to a real nice lady who said someone would call to re-schedule. So far nothing. I'm a bit worried that If I have a warranty problem I'm going to get the same treatment. I even expressed interest in signing a service contract to have a yearly inspection but also did not receive a reply. Again, a good company that did a great job at a reasonable price. I just think maybe they have too much business to keep up with.

"I called Wirth and made an appointment for the next day to have someone look at my water softener. It would run, but it wasn't softening the water. Wirth arrived on time. They were able to fix the problem (cleaned the lines and replaced a few parts) and did not try to sell me a new water softener. I have used them several times and would recommend them to anyone."

"The construction workers tore up old concrete at the end of my driveway and replaced it with new concrete at a different lower angle so my car wouldn't drag on it.  They replaced 3 sheets of sidewalk and the curb.  These workers have done other jobs at my house under the owner's supervision.  I have always found everyone to be courteous.  Concrete work is weather dependent. The previous owner refused to overbook and have too many projects going at once.  His crew completed the jobs though sometimes end dates were extended.  I consider it professional when a company like Behncke Construction refuses to rush a job and thus lower the quality.
