Also, I was appreciative that he didn't call CPS on us after seeing the "cage" with a kid's chair in it that my daughter uses as her pretend jail on her playground. LOL. "While receiving estimates from several contractors for new roofing, it was pointed out that the chimney was in need of repairs.  Since I had contracted Masoner & Sons for masonry repairs several years ago, I contacted Ken Masoner to see if he would be available for this job, as well as some work on the brickwork above the foundation.  He was very prompt in coming by and providing an estimate, and was able to complete the work shortly afterward.  I will definitely call him anytime I need masonry work or repairs. <br />"

"Before the job was sold the sales team headed by Mike Hawkins were very professional, courteous but right after the signed contact job was delayed due to their internal department mixup. I was not communicated of any delay and had to call numerous people to get the response. During the whole process they worked with my insurance company and finished the work on time and the roof looked great. Right after job was completed I noticed my porch gutter leaking at the joint. It was a new leak which I thought would be the result of shingles being thrown while install. After sending video of the leak to the sales, install and customer service I didn’t get any response then finally I complained to their General Manger Grant and he came to inspect the leaking gutter and said the age of the gutter may be the cause of the leak but he will get it caulked. It has been more than a week, email and text message to their General Manager Grant has still not fixed the leaking gutter. Roof replacement was a good job but if there is any problem later on with their work I will not depend on their warranty commitment. I will not recommend them to others for their after sales service commitment."

"Have not noticed water marks on my ceiling during recent rains -  filling the holes apparently worked. <br /> Workers had to return a second day to fix the siding because they didn't have a tall enough ladder to reach the loose siding during their original visit.  Slightly disappointed in the siding fix.  The loose siding was nailed down instead of being removed, the track fixed and the piece of siding re-installed.  The nailed down area is already coming loose . <br /> Cost seemed a little high for the type of work done and amount of time on site.  Workers on both visits were very congenial <br />"

"<p>During torrential rain we had a leak around the vent pipe for our furnace. Scott from Old Fort Roofing put a new 'boot' around the vent pipe on the roof ($165) and that significantly reduced the leak.  However there was still a small leak during the next rain.  Scott returned and replaced the flashing and shingles around the vent pipe ($525).  That repair stopped the leak</p> <p>We had difficulty finding a roofer who would come to Decatur to assess the leak and we were very happy to find Scott at Old Fort Roofing.  He came to the house, assessed the problem, and performed an immediate   repair.  He also assessed the vent pipe in the attic and advised us to remove the wet insulation around the pipe and let the area dry out to prevent mold.  When the leak persisted Scott returned for a more complete repair.  </p> <p>Scott called after the next hard rain to make sure the repair had finally stopped the leak.</p>"

"We hired Byers Construction Inc to replace our roof. From the first contact the service was professional, courteous, and timely. The product options presented appeared to be just what we needed. The crew was able to get he job done (tear off, skylight replacement, new asphalt shingles) in one very long day, but they kept at it until it was done. Clean up was good as well. We would definitely do business with Ron and his crew again and are happy to recommend their services."
