"I called Capital Palmetto Builders to have a repair done to my Chimney flashing (beginning to leak into the house). I called them specifically because of their great reviews both here and on Google. I actually called several large roofing companies in the Columbia area, and was told that they “aren’t doing any roofing repairs, only replacements”. I had a lot of trouble reaching these companies, and getting anyone to call me back-the resounding answer I got was that they were too busy for my repair. I called CPB and they took my info and said someone would reach out to me. Andrew Howell called me very promptly and even came out to look at the leak on a Sunday morning! He was extremely professional, and quickly Identified the problem as the chimney flashing (which I had suspected) he also informed me that I had hail damage on the roof, which I was unaware of. Instead of dumping money into an old roof, I filed a claim w/ my insurance for the hail damage. Andrew Howell and Daryl Phelps came out and actually helped me file the claim with the insurance. They also came out when the adjustor came to inspect, to represent my best interest and help explain their findings to the adjustor. The insurance company approved a full roof replacement. So with the help of CPB I got a brand new roof (with high end archetectural shingles) for about the same amount of money I would’ve been putting into the chimney flashing repair. For the actual replacement, they came out early one morning and began the work with a very large crew. They were able to remove the old shingles and get probably 90% complete in the first day. The next day they came back to finish everything up and clean up all of the old materials. After the roof was finished, Daryl and Andrew both came out and flew a drone over the house to get close up pictures and videos, and to inspect the work their crew had completed. I couldn’t be happier with the work that they completed. They helped me get a brand new roof on the house, when I was thinking I was going to have to dump more money into my old roof. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and can tell you after reaching out to multiple roofing companies, they are the best in the greater Columbia/Lexington area. Andrew and Daryl are top notch, very professional, and definitely here to help you."

"I didn't leave a review immediately after the roof was done because I wanted to let some time go by to test the quality of their work. It has now been 3-4 years since they did my roof. It was a steep pitch with three floors on one side. All shingles are still in place, there are no leaks anywhere, and the netting they put over my gutters is still in the same state as it was upon installation. The husband/wife team were pleasant. My wife had a concern a month or two after the roof installation. The owner (maybe Mike-been a while) came with some guys and they fixed my concern and then he explained it to me (VERY much appreciate that). It turns out it was a non-issue, but more of an appearance thing in my attic. He fixed it free of charge even though it wasn't his fault, it was the builders of the house in 1992. I recommend them to anybody when roofing comes up. If pressed for a criticism it would be the mariachi music that played in my house because the gentleman that worked on the roof put their radio on my chimney so it played in my living room. Honestly, it's sort of a funny."

"We contacted Bauer Roofing in February after a heavy rain and windstorm had caused our shingles to flap in the wind and blow off the roof.  After looking at their website, various reviews online, and their longstanding A+ rating with the BBB, we felt they were the right company to contact.  Roy Bauer came out the next day, inspected our roof, and told us what damage he had found.  He told us to contact our insurance company and arrange for the adjustor to come out, and added that he would be glad to meet with him when he came.  The next day, which was a Saturday, we got an early morning call from the adjustor telling us he would be in our area in about 5 hours.  If we couldn?t see him then, it would be 2 weeks before he could come back out.  I called Bauer Roofing expecting to get an answering machine or service, but Jonathan Bauer answered the phone and told me he would relay the message to Roy.  To our delight, Roy Bauer gave up his weekend time to meet with our adjustor.  That impressed us and boosted our confidence in his company. <br /> When the adjustor?s claim estimate arrived the next week, I emailed it to Roy.  He noticed that the adjustor had left off certain items, and that he had given the wrong dimensions for various areas of our multi-level roof.  Roy contacted our adjustor and discussed these needed corrections to our claim, and we received more money from our insurance company.  We were also given references to contact about their experiences with Bauer Roofing.  All the customers we spoke with were very pleased with the work they had done.  Roy also supplied us with photos of previous jobs, and we were pleased with the results we saw.  We contracted with Bauer to do the work, and Roy dropped off samples of the color and type of shingle they would be using on our roof for our approval.  Two weeks later, their crew arrived as arranged. <br /> The head of the crew, Amos Goldstein, introduced himself to us, and explained what they would be doing.  Since we have a big <br /> problem with squirrels trying to chew their way back into our attic, he made sure that they left nothing exposed that would give them access to the interior of our house.  They also made sure that the work in progress was properly protected should a storm arise before the job was completed. The crew was very professional and worked extremely hard.  They arrived on time and kept us apprised of what was going on.  They showed us damaged plywood and where it had been replaced, and answered the questions we had about the roof.  They cleaned up as they went along, and added more crew as the job progressed. <br /> The job was finished in 4 days, one day having been cut short due to rain, and Amos returned to check the finished product.   He even came back a second time to fix a downspout that had come loose.  The following week, Roy Bauer returned to inspect the work, take photos of the roof, make sure we were satisfied, and collect the final payment. <br /> Two days ago, we had an extremely heavy downpour with high winds, and our new roof passed the test with flying colors.  Several neighbors even commented on how good the new roof looked.  We were so pleased with Bauer Roofing's work, that we have asked them to do some trim work around our windows, as they have a construction division in their firm.  We would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends and neighbors. <br /> <br />"
