"First, our daughter came to us panicked because the basement toilet was overflowing. We snaked the toilet and it seemed to fix the problem. About 9:30 PM that evening, we discovered water on the basement floor which was traced to the drain. We were doing laundry at the time, and the water from the drain was soapy.
