"Excellent. I called for emergency help as my plumber said furnace shut down was due to block in flue. It was cold and I needed flue fixed asap to be able to get heat back on. Boston sweeps had no available appointments, but switched me to their emergency service consideration and came out same day for $150 "mercy service extra fee. That seemed fair to me as they - and others - were booking into January. They did an excellent clean out (man in bsmt/man on roof) and made strong recommendation to reline chimney, replace cap to avoid future blockages. I trust their recommendation as a several years back a chimney sweep said we would soon need to reline. They sent me an estimate by next day. It was pricey, but I think it is because it's a 3 story house. the estimates I saw online were significantly lower, but they were national and did not specify height of chimney. All in all, very solid work and can't argue (much) with the estimate."

I had several questions and was very pleased with the responses and the willingness to respond. I just bought the house, and given the soot I don't think the chimney has been cleaned in a decade! The Cap (3'+ wide chimney) was $425 with a life-time warranty, so I think that I received excellent service for a very fair price. The guys worked efficiently and kept all areas clean. "Earlier Mr. Liverman inspected and cleaned our chimney and determined that we should have part of our indoor chimney rebuilt.  We had come to this conclusion before he came to clean our chimney.  He arrived with the 2 men who actually did the brick  work, introduced them, and told us they'd worked for him for many years.  They put tarps all  around the fireplace and left things neat and clean.  Erwin Liverman left and then returned a few hours later while they were finishing, to inspect the work.   The men totally knew what they were doing; they were very professional.  I asked for the bricks that were going to be taken out; he said they'd be in pieces, which they were, and they put them in a box for us.  They repointed the bricks; it looks good and we now feel safe and secure.  (We had broken bricks and pieces of bricks missing from inside the fireplace.  We use the fireplace a lot and wanted the fireplace to be safe.) <br />"

"John and his team were excellent. We had our roof done in November 2018 and exterior paint job in May 2019. John showed up the same day I asked for a quote at the time he said. Provided me with the quote and got to work a couple weeks later. His crew stripped the two layers of shingles on my roof, installed a new roof (and a mushroom vent), cleaned up and were gone before I got home. The yard was spotless and I didn't find any evidence of them being there. Since it was November, he was no longer in painting season and said he would do the job in the Spring. This past May, John and his team got to work on painting the house. His crew showed up early, scraped, sanded, power washed, primed and painted the entire house. Took about 4 days. His crew was professional, prompt, and cleaned everything up meticulously. I would definitely recommend John to anyone looking for a well done roof by a responsive and punctual professional."

"Brad arrived and assessed the situation. He described the repair (installation of a stainless steel tube inside the chimney) and emailed a quote with accompanying photos of the view from the roof down and at the bottom. He said he had several installations lined up and wasn't sure when those would be cleaned up. Fortunately for me, he had a cancellation and was able to do the work. This was done in February with snow on the roof. I was pleased at the professionalism and speed of repair."

John diagnosed the problem with the chimney flue (a former contractor who re-pointed the bricks dropped concrete into the flue, essentially cutting off all air) and made all the repairs. "They did a GREAT job! They first ran into permit problems in Brookline, but Rich (?) was able to fix that and didn't charge me extra. Then on the day of the work, they showed up and worked through to the next day and removed the whole chimney from the inside without making a dent in the house. I was MOST impressed with this as I have 2 small children so dust is a big deal to me. Since they are so prompt and efficiently, i was able to coordinate with my roofer to come in on the same day to seal up the roof. At the end of the day, you couldn't even tell that someone had removed a chimney just minutes before. Highly recommended! <br />"
