"Tracy Norman Concrete did an exceptional job tearing out my driveway and installing a new one. They were very thorough and quick to give me an estimate and began the job in a very timely manner. They hauled off many roots and cleaned the entire area when they were finished. They did a beautiful job and I can highly recommend them!"

"It went great. Milher arrived promptly and began work immediately. They were phenomenal with how they deconstructed the fence and rebuilt the fence in a timely manner. They asked my input before securing the fence. They made sure all measurements were correct. What I am most impressed by was how they raised up my existing fence in areas that weren’t providing me any privacy. What surprised me more so was the fact they cleaned up, shoveled, and raked up remnants of where the fence previously stood. They were excellent. Awesome!!!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We were so pleased, great company to deal with! Matter of fact, we’re hiring them again within the next few months. We had an engineer out of Wilmington tell us it was some of the prettiest concrete he had ever seen if not the prettiest in his 40 yrs of work, he was even more impressed when he found out it was 2 yrs old when he was seeing it for the first time. Just loved dealing with the Norman family!!"

"My new bath is beautiful! The quality of work is excellent. Enver is honest, reliable, hard-working and professional. All work was completed without me being onsite. Enver sent pictures and videos each day and called to make sure the job was going smoothly according to plan. There was good communication He listens and offers suggestions as needed. I was more than pleased with the result. I would definitely use Enver again and I highly recommend him to others."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Conway, SC

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
