He also moved the clothes washer back and reconnected it. On a scale of 1-5 stars, l give him a 10 ! l have him on my 'to call' list and so does a rental manager who works for REMAX. "I called on a Monday morning after the fridge began misbehaving over the weekend.  I desperately needed someone to come by the same day, since my frozen food had already defrosted and I was rapidly losing the rest of the food in the fridge.  My phone call was answered right away by the service coordinator, who was very friendly.  She said she would contact their technician, got my information, and said she would call right back.  She returned my call within five minutes, and said that luckily Joel was in my neighborhood and could come by immediately.  The service coordinator also made sure I understood the service charges before Joel arrived, which I appreciated.  The charge is $59 to come and look at the appliance, which is credited toward the cost of labor if any labor is required.  Joel arrived within ten minutes.  He was able to diagnose the problem with the fridge immediately (something to do with the compressor attempting to run on overload) and had the part to fix it.  He clearly told me my options in terms of fixing the fridge, including how much they would cost and the likelihood of success.  I really appreciated that he was direct and up-front about what my options were, rather than trying to sell me on the most expensive option.  Once I made my decision, he was able to install the part within about ten minutes.  Joel also gave me some advice about how to avoid similar problems in the future.  Overall, I was extremely pleased with Joel Norris Appliance Repair, and I would highly recommend this business to others.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
