They cleaned up the work area and left the laundry room as they found it. My wife liked the AA Appliance Repair team and will not hesitate to hire them again."

"I have used Pacific Crest for multiple plumbing needs over the years. When I first bought my house I needed a sink faucet installed and they came out and did it. They have replaced a hot water heater, and fixed clogged sinks and toilets for me too. They are so fast, well priced, and nice to work with. Plus I know they will treat me right, I have had them out before and Nick will go over what is wrong and if I can fix it with something simple, he tells me. I have old pipes so sometimes it's a clog that just wont get cut but onetime I thought it was that, I tried chemicals, I tried a plunger, nothing. He came out told me what to do with the chemicals and then it worked! They are all so great!"

"It went really well. I think it was a good price. They did the job. Just one person came out to do the work. It took one hour to complete the work. You know, I think it was a really good experience. They came out, I had some questions about it because it's a really old garage door. I had some questions about replacing the opener on it and replacing some parts in it. So, he was very knowledgeable on it, and he gave me some suggestions on what to do."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"The technician that came out to install my dishwasher was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, professional, and made sure everything worked properly. The price was quoted fairly and there were no hidden fees or up charging. Would definitely use Porch again and have recommended them to my friends."

"The owner and workers did a great job with the install. The company they used to get the doors was incompetent and difficult to deal with. Joe did a great job keeping me updated on delays caused by the supplier. Very easy to work with."

FAQs for appliance (smaller size) installation and replacement projects in Corbett, OR

Garbage disposals last around 10 years when properly maintained. If your unit is getting close to that age or repair costs are increasing, it might be time to consider a replacement. Regular maintenance and careful use can help maximize your garbage disposal's performance and help it reach its maximum lifespan.

There are several signs to watch for that indicate your garbage disposal needs to be replaced. Replacement may be necessary if it doesn't work even though it's properly connected, the blades are worn and causing delays in operation, a persistent foul odor that won't go away, or leaks coming from the bottom due to a compromised seal. If you're experiencing any of these issues, it might be time to consider getting a new garbage disposal to keep your kitchen running smoothly.

A plumber or handyperson can install your garbage disposal if the electrical connections are already in place. If you need additional electrical work, you'll also need to hire a qualified electrician to handle the rest of the job. Hiring local professionals ensures the installation is safe and up to code.

It’s important to avoid putting certain items down the drain to keep your garbage disposal running smoothly and avoid clogs. Expandable foods like pasta, rice, oatmeal, and bread can swell and cause blockages. Coffee grounds, grease, fats, and oils can accumulate and create clogs. Hard items such as meat bones, nuts, and fruit pits can damage the disposal blades. Eggshells, potato peels, and fibrous vegetables such as celery, pumpkin, corn husks, artichokes, onion skins, and asparagus can wrap around the blades or obstruct the pipes.

Not every sink is suitable for the installation of a garbage disposal. The compatibility of the sink with the disposal depends on the material and structural integrity. While many standard sinks support these units, fireclay sinks are prone to cracking under the added stress and should not be used. Confirm that your sink can securely accommodate the disposal before installation.

Choosing the correct size garbage disposal depends on your household size and how much waste you produce. A 1/3–1/2 horsepower unit should be sufficient for households with one to two people. If your household consists of three to six people, a 1/2–3/4 horsepower unit is recommended. FA3/4–1 horsepower model will be necessary. For larger households of five to eight people
