"In communications with RainDrop, we specifically mentioned that we needed to replace an asphalt shingle roof with metal roofing primarily due to the roof slope, and some other factors. A sales representative was sent out to evaluate the existing asphalt roof and confirmed that it needed replacing, but afterward, he spent almost an hour pitching various asphalt shingle products. He was clearly knowledgeable and knew his stuff about asphalt roofing. While the rep was friendly, he didn't seem to have as much in-depth knowledge or experience with installing metal roofing. We were confused about why a rep with more metal roofing knowledge was not sent out as we had no interest in the asphalt shingles. Therefore, we ultimately did not feel comfortable selecting RainDrop to install a new metal roof."

During bidding, Aylwin representatives patiently answered questions and revisited the property several times to clarify issues. An amended bid was prepared to respond to developing information. After contract signing on a Monday we asked that our job be done in June as we were very flexible. On Tuesday they called, offering us a start on that Wednesday! From contract signing to completion took 4 days! That was astounding. Our house was easy so the job could fit among more complicated work. "Quick to initially make content and once hired were quite prompt in arriving at the job site. Personable and went right to work. I appreciated that as I do not live in Oregon; my sister occupies the house. It was nice to get something scheduled and completed in a short time. The 2 workers did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I would make one suggestion for the crew. It would be helpful for me at least to get an overview of what the project will look like once it gets done. It was a moss removal from my story and a half home. The majority of the work was accomplished using a moss killing spray which is going to take 2-3 months to eradicate moss from the roof. I expected more to have been scraped prior to the addition of the moss spray. A minor miscommunication for which I have at least half of the issue on me. That being said the moss is continuing its decline so the actual end result will be accomplished. Thanks guys."

"Steve Wade, the owner, immediately responded to my call for the roof to be replaced on my home. He reviewed the process with me in detail and drew up a concise and fair contract for the extensive area involved in my two-level home.  He had the dumpster delivered and the very next day the crew was on the job.  They were very careful to use all safety equipment and worked quickly to remove the old two layers of shingles.  They placed a liner over the bare roof to protect it from and moisture until the new shingles could be applied. The crew also covered shrubs to ensure that they would not be damaged by falling shingles.  One section of a back addition had lost some shingles two years ago and the wood was starting to rot underneath.  The crew replaced the entire section while making sure that I was aware of this addition to the project.  The shingles that I chose were then very quickly placed on the roof while the crew members were tied off to safety hooks since the roof has an extreme slant.  The project was completed in seven days which was wonderful considering how noisy it was (understandable for this type of project though).  Steve Wade came out the next day to review the work and note any punch list items that needed to be completed before final payment was made.  He was very responsive to get crew members out as soon as possible to complete these items.  This company is very professional, the workers are careful and listen to any concerns from the owner or guidance as to where to store tools during the project.  I have used this company in the past to paint my home and I was very pleased that I chose them for this major roofing project.  My home looks amazing now and Steve made sure it was done correctly and that I was satisfied with the results.  I will definitely continue to use this company for any future home projects that require remodeling, etc.  They are a fast working crew and everyone is professional and leaves a clean area at the end of each day.

Didn't just put on a new layer of roofing, but evaluated the ventilation needs of my attic and placed the vents to improve air flow. Added intake and exhaust vents to bring up to code and changed the location of one set of vents to eliminate a dead air space in the attic. I am very satisfied with the work they did."

I would recommend hiring Elias if you get changes in writing. They cleaned up pretty well although they missed a few things due to finishing in the dark. Overall satisfied with the job and cost was 60% of other bids due to sheathing adjustment."
