"I bought the deal for 4hrs/1 person or 2hrs/2 people. However I got 3 people for 1hr 20minutes. It just wasn't enough time unfortunately. The work they did do was very well done and immaculate. They cleaned up everything as they went. It was like the weeds never existed. I asked them to bring a lawn mower but they forgot. The job did not get completed before they had to leave which was disappointing. If they had remembered the mower, I'm sure I would've given them all As. Oh well."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Isabella Corp is just great He was absolutely wonderful, and his two partners were just as great, truly. Firstly, he and partners were very honest, kind, respectful, and clearly have a strong work ethic. He thinks ahead as well. Very punctual, not lacking in communication on the projects, , easy to get a hold of, and clear communication Re; any concerns, better ideas, etc. I know people think Intex no biggie. But it is 18” and it’s vital the land is prepped and leveled as best as absolutely possible. I saw them do this. They became so meticulous about it, I began watching it like a doc. myself. He gives his work a 110%. No matter how small or large. So then his partners are exactly the same. He got the pool up beautifully, the huge tree down, picked up some pool sand, moved a few sheets of fencing, he’s willing to get more supplies when done or at the moment if needed. Or begin another project if he has no other clients. He did a beautiful job with the filter, he’s coming back for the saltwater filter we bought. Everything was done with great attention, seamlessly, professionally and no regrets here at all. I know my father enjoyed having him working around here. Admired his work as well. Little side note. I thought I was going to put up the pool. So I watched a lot of YouTube set ups of my model pool. Far too many. Nobody was level, ever. I don’t believe we are either. But I must say I put the level on the pools ledge in 3 spots. That bubble was a .5 mm away if not .25 from the middle. At times in the middle. That’s amazing. He’s not a novice, not at all, trying to build his business. I think he’ll do great. If quality and professionalism is wanted. Remember I had no confidence initially, even after speaking with him. However, his work is undeniable. He also drove from Queens to Long Island the next day to look at the water. Check it himself. Told me when to shut the water off. Drove back. Then back for a while in the third day. Treated the pool. We weren’t even expecting such a thing. On every video I saw, the struts solid support stuck out, I didn’t think twice because I knew by then it was necessary. So they finish, I’m thinking, “wow, oh no they didn’t put the struts on a solid surface!” But I don’t want to say anything yet. Finally I do, he says yes they’re there. He shows me, they made the solid surface plush with land, and sand. It was entirely flat. Things like that make a huge difference. My Highest Recommendations"

Hi! The cost to refinish a standard 5ft tub in white or off white, would be $399. This assumes that the tub is not a jetted tub has not been done before (if it has, it will need to be stripped, add $100); and that the tub is in good shape structurally (no leaks, major cracks, or drainage issues). If this is a clawfoot tub, the above would apply to the inside only. To include the tub surround or if this is a 1pc fiberglass enclosure unit, add $250. If the work is different (sinks, counters, tile work etc.) we will need details and pictures, if you can. We'll get you a quote quickly.

Our tubs come with a 5 year warranty, the job can take up to 4-5 hours to do, and cures in 16 hours to use. We use an acrylic urethane called GlassTech9000 and we also do the caulking, when applicable. We've been in business almost 50 years, refinished over 200,000 tubs, and have an A+ rating with the BBB. Call or email if you need any further info. Have a great day, we appreciate your interest! Thanks! Tom

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Corona, NY

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
