"This was the second time we had this hard working crew to our house. They painted the exterior of our home, two outside buildings, plus they stained our deck. They are professional and do quality work. We highly recommend this company."

"Tray's Renovations did an awesome job. We recently moved here and the house we purchased need a little work prior to painting. Not sure who to call so we put a notice out on Angie's and Tray called. So happy he did. He came when he said he would and after I showed him what I wanted done he also pointed out a few things that needed work and explained why the repairs should be done. He was spot on with his information and our house looks outstanding. He did an amazing job painting the house. He made a few suggestions with the painting which improved the look immensely. He kept us informed every step of the way, he watched the weather like a hawk to let us know if he could do the exterior work or not. My wife and I couldn't be happier with his work. I already have some interior work I'll be using his talents for and will definitely use him in the future. I highly recommend him. Call him you'll be glad you did."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Council Bluffs, IA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
