He and his crew were there within in a day, had the entire job completed in two days. Since I was at work, Kevin sent pictures at every stage of the process. In addition to completing everything that he had promised, there were some additional blue stones that needed to be reset that he was not aware of, and he took care of them without charging extra. The back steps, since it was so poorly built to begin with, Kevin replaced it all with new brick which was not part of the original agreement; again no extra charge. I have always been afraid to deal with contractors with all of the stories I hear; I'm so happy that I went ahead and contacted Kevin."

"Owner of Northern Gray Masonry Derek Waters was asked to spec out a rebuild of a retaining wall between my home and garage that could safely be estimated at 80+ years old. He quoted a price that I feared was a red flag because it was so reasonable. Turns out that this crew had the skill to utilize the stone onsite and with that they created a beautiful new wall that not only stands out on our road now but meets all of the load and drainage requirements we were missing in the old one. The work site was kept neat and clean throughout the project, my texts and calls were answered promptly by Derek. Every time. I was always informed when they were arriving and his crew of master masons were kind, professional and focused throughout the job- which was completed ahead of schedule. "Tom was totally professional, friendly, informative, punctual, and thorough. We had an interior brick wall that was spalling (from moisture on the exterior). He and his sons ground and mortared it and it's fabulous! They repaired the interior and exterior brick work of the house, so it does not happen again. They worked quickly and cleaned up everything. They even constructed an indoor cave to work in, to trap any brick dust from spreading around the house. Tom also had the best prices, and I got five estimates. I recommend him 100%!"

"After having been left in a bit of a mess by a previous contractor, we decided not to continue with it, we contacted Shamrock Chimney and explained the unfortunate situation we found ourselves in. Within three days, Corey and Frank had arrived to attack our problem. Corey was astounded at what he found; a torn liner, like one of those in a clothes dryer and dozens of bricks, some removed unnecessarily, scattered on the ground. He quoted us a price, not a lot less than our original contractor had, but we were in desperate straits and had no times to get additional estimates. He said there was a lot more work to do than we had expected and showed us why. He and Frank started work on Thursday and by Saturday noon had, miraculously to us, completed the whole repair and cleaned up the mess we had been left with. We now have two new stainless-steel liners and chimney caps and a rebuilt chimney. I rated the work quality as 5.0 but, having read reviews of other chimney repairs, hope the work will, last and have no reason to expect otherwise. As for 4.0 for value for the money: estimates of chimney repair charges are all over the place on the internet, so it is hard to judge. Corey told me he had taken our plight into consideration when setting a price. Based on our interaction, I have no reason to doubt him. In sum, we found ourselves in a totally chaotic situation on one Saturday, but by the next everything was back to normal or better even. Based on our experience with Corey, with Shamrock you have the luck of the Irish, not so much Emerald."
