"He hired Tom Harrop to install kitchen cabinets and a heater under the kitchen sink, vinal flooring, plastering in a small area, add ceiling lighting and a shiplap ceiling. Once the work was done I asked Tom to do a walk through and he refused saying he stood behind his empoyees work. Here are the PROs and CONs. PROs: 1.) work was completed in a timely fashion 2) they did a beautiful job on the shiplap ceiling and lighting. CONs: 1) The brand new white cabinets had some nicks requiring paint touch up. 2) Terrible job on the floors! Uneven spots, lengths are uneven at the edges, gaps showing, no finish work. Terrible job!! 3) plastering looks like it wasn't even done! And there is some peeling of paint on the plaster job. Terrible job!!! 4) we were promised and paid for an under the kitchen sink heater which we never received. Called multiple times with no response. Lesson learned, will never use Tom Harrop again!!"

Rick grew up in a family of hard working contractors, and has been learning the skills of the trade since a very young age. He brings to the table a high level of expertise that is often hard to come by, and will always take the time to get the job done right.
"Rick was very responsive at first and eager to get started on my bathroom remodel job for one of my apartments. He is commended for having to respond to quote request fast. I decided to give him a chance to do a good job before handing a bigger jobs for my other properties. Before the work started, I emphasized that the dust control and cleanup was very, very important to me. The job involved lots of demolition work inside the apartment - naturally, there will be lots of dust. The apartment is currently occupied and has lots of furniture, computers and audio equipment that I wanted to protect. I thought he and his workers were communicated this request. I even offered the use of dust control fan and Zip Wall to isolate the work area but he said he will be fine without them. Once the job started, I was away for one week to take care of my family. When I returned, I discovered that the door to the adjacent room was left open. That is my office with all the equipment and important papers. They left their construction material and equipment in this room. I was horrified that there are fine dust everywhere - on my printer, computer peripherals, furniture. I brought this issue up with Rick. Nothing happened. The worst part was that the job was declared done and I paid the service in full - They never returned to clean up and pickup the equipment. After almost a whole month, the supply and equipment is still there. I had to spend extra time cleaning up after their mess. Very unprofessional. Lessons learned. Do not pay the balance until all the cleaning is done and all the equipment removed. I expect the clean up and dust control to be a part of the job. I also repeatedly asked or professionally prepared invoices with vendor name and address, job details and the most important of all, the invoice number - all of these essential information is important to keep track of expenses for my projects. The SMS texts message and e-mail messages were not appropriate for this purpose. I explained to Rick that my CPA requires them many times. I even sent him a sample invoice and quote in Microsoft Word template - he never understood what I was asking. He is a nice guy, but not a good project manager or competent business person. The work was done, however, the work quality is fair to good - I had to go back and correct some sloppy work. Lacking attention to details and follow up bothered me. The biggest issues is the lack of clean up and keeping the worksite cleans so he and his crew gets an F. I do not think I will be hiring his company in my future projects."

Had about 6-8 contractors come in to quote and Justin was the most on top of it. Even before making the decision Justin was checking in regularly, quick to answer and overall was providing great suggestions and insight. Come to the actually project - Justin and his team were awesome. They come on time, do great work and are a great team. The project is now over and he is still checking in to make sure we are 100% satisfied. The kitchen came out better than I ever thought. Stop looking and call them now, you will not be disappointed!"

Welcome to ZMH Construction, LLC! Zacarias, has 20 years of experience. He covers the local area of Cumberland. He works fast and efficiently, while always putting the customer first. Please give him a call for any bathroom or kitchen remodels, you will not regret! Thank you!
"The project, rebuilding our second floor bathroom, went well from start to finish. Steps were taken every day to prevent dust and dirt from getting around our house. When they were demolishing walls, they bagged all wallboard and other materials as they were carried it out, to prevent the spread of dust and dirt throughout the house. The owner is extremely knowledgeable in all the trades and worked to achieve perfection in every aspect of the project. He checked with us when he had any questions about the products or materials we had chosen. He discussed tile patterns with us and spent significant time sorting and arranging the 24 square tiles to achieve the most pleasing arrangements possible. He made sure all the finishing details were completed. The project went smoothly from start to finish. We appreciate all his planning and effort. We Love Our New Bathroom"

"In November 2024, I signed a contract for bathroom work to replace the tub, shower walls, fixtures, install a glass piece and floor. Where upon I gave a 1/3 deposit. The contract stated that work was to begin on January 6,2025. It did not start till February 19th, but was not notified till I called to confirm the start the date was on schedule. I gave another 1/3 payment when work started on the 19th. Work was completed except for the glass piece where upon I gave a final payment of 1/3, minus $500 for glass and rod installation, and finish trim around shower walls. After inspection of the job, I found it to be very unsatisfactory, plus several damages to my walls, woodwork and stains on carpets. I made several attempts from February-May to contact Bath Flip to get work completed and got no response. The glass piece was finally installed in April. So here it is 6 months later, and my bathroom work is still not completed. I have spent hours cleaning and patching walls. "

Most bathroom demolition projects are completed within one day, though larger or more complex spaces may require additional time. A standard half bath might be demolished in just a few hours, while a spacious primary bathroom with extensive tile work could take up to three days.
Factors that extend the timeline include discovering hazardous materials, addressing unexpected structural issues, or working with difficult-to-remove fixtures. Professional crews can complete projects more efficiently than DIY efforts due to their specialized tools and experience.
Before demolition begins, remove all personal belongings, toiletries, and decorative items from the bathroom. Create dust barriers by covering doorways and vents with plastic sheeting secured with painter's tape. Shut off water supply valves and electrical circuits serving the bathroom to prevent accidents.
Establish a clear pathway from the bathroom to your home's exterior for debris removal. If you have only one bathroom, make alternative arrangements for facilities during the project duration. Protect the flooring in adjacent areas with drop cloths or protective coverings.
Remaining in your home during bathroom demolition is feasible with proper planning. The process generates considerable noise, dust, and disruption primarily during working hours. Households with multiple bathrooms can simply use alternative facilities during the project. For homes with a single bathroom, you'll need temporary solutions such as arrangements with neighbors or nearby facilities.
The most intensive demolition lasts between one and three days, after which dust and noise levels decrease substantially. Some homeowners choose to schedule short trips during the most disruptive phase of the project.
