This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. I am going to use this company in my own investment endeavors on other properties and projects given the level of finished work, the timing and especially the level of detailed communication."

He replaced the rotting wooden trim around four of our windows, replaced sections of our siding which were in rough shape, fixed a soffit and fascia that were water-damaged due to a poorly set up gutter, and a few other smaller repairs. The quality of his work was excellent, and so was his work ethic and communication. He was also very good about pointing out things that he found during the course of the work which were either done improperly before, or were a good idea to fix along with what else was being done. "I call Shaun on a Wednesday to get an estimate on installing on a new roof on our home in New London, CT. We made an appointment and Shaun was at our home promptly at the appointed time. I told him that I thought we needed a new roof and that we had had a leek. He inspected the roof and told me it was old but would last for a few more seasons. We live in another state and wanted the roof replaced. He gave us a price which was in the ballpark of what i expected to pay. What sold me on SJM was that they had another job delay and he could have a crew here tomorrow. At 9:00 a dumpster was delivered and at 9:30 a crew of seven workers. arrived. By 5:00 pm his crew had completed the job, the job was inspected by the City and every thing was cleaned up. I would give SJM my highest recommendation. The only thing that did not go well was that some of my shrubs were crush. Shaun wanted to pay for them, but they will come back.. It was a pleasure working with SJM Roofing."
