"George is a very personable guy and worked hard to make sure the job was done well. His bid to paint the entire exterior of the house was better than the other bid I got by long shot. His guys worked fairly quickly getting the house painted in a few days. 
His company also painted the interior of one of the 1 bedroom apartments and did a nice job. There was an issue that a pervious leak showed through on the ceiling and when I asked George to look at it he sent his guys to prime and repaint it. I appreciated that.
He replaced a small deck and went through the lengthy process of permits and historical society approval with patience.
All in all, I'm happy with George.

"This was the largest home improvement project we've undergone so we were initially cautious when hiring a contractor. However, the organized and structured approach to the project helped put us to ease. Mason, the owner of Sino-American contractors, is very knowledgeable of local building codes and best practices. Communication is one of his strengths and collectively he spent several hours discussing the details of the project including potential risks and pitfalls. Mason has the same crew that he uses on all projects and the quality of the work and attention to detail was evident. Mason would visit the site frequently to oversee work and ensure everything was on schedule and completed to our satisfaction. He would text or call frequently to provide an update of the work or to notify us whenever workers would be on site. My wife gave birth to our son during construction and Mason did his best to have his crew work around our unpredictable schedule. This included working late or night or on weekends if needed. Mason's quote was competitive with other ones we received. With other home improvement projects we've always done fixed contract so his approach of individually pricing out each task took some getting used to. However, he was always upfront about additional costs that might arise due to new findings during construction or required by building inspectors. This just made it a little more challenging to allocate a fixed budget for the entire project. Mason and his crew also had some good suggestions that we didn't consider including adding an exterior flood light in the driveway and running new cable lines through the walls to minimize drilling though the interior brick walls. He supplied finished hardwood floor that matched our current floor and provided quotes for the doors and windows even though we decided to get these from another supplier. Overall we were very satisfied with the entire process and would recommend Sino-American Contracting for anyone considering a renovation/remodel."

"They didn't show up. I had scheduled an appointment for an appointment for an estimate but they didn't. They showed up this morning, and they are supposed to come back tomorrow. He couldn't find the shutters at Home Depot because of the size, so they had to drive all the way to Colombia to get closest to the size that we needed. They had to drive about an hour away. I said that we needed something that was close and I didn't want something hanging 6 inches, and they are not identical. I think they are going to be close enough, and I am impressed that they did all that. He knocked off $100 because we did not want to pay $700 for putting up 2 shutters and paint."

"After a few high priced bath remodeling estimates, I chose MP Home repair based upon very reasonable estimates from the owner, Mr. Marcos Pena. Two employees worked very hard for two plus days, were diligent, and asked project related questions when needed. One took the lead on the tile installation and he does excellent work. They cleaned up very well and were courteous. On one weekday they had to reschedule due to an "accident" en route but they were flexible and finished the work during the weekend. They worked for two plus days and took care of every detail. I highly recommend MP Home repair and will be looking to them for more remodeling work."
