"From beginning to end, it was fairly smooth.  The sales people were very nice and really seemed to care about what we actually wanted.  They did not try and pressure us into upgrading or getting the "best" carpet, but showed us the difference between some upon our request.  They were very accommodating to our schedule.  We had to cancel twice and push back our installation date.  The installers came a little later than stated, but we were given a call that they were running behind.  The installers were very courteous and walked us through the basement upon completion.  We were very pleased with the overall experience.  The pricing was reasonable and they help out the military and public safety families with a small discount.  We will return for further jobs if they arise. <br />"

"The experience was very good. The salespeople were very helpful and the service was very good. Installation was about $600. They were very professional and gave us the information we needed when we were shopping. The installers were very polite and worked very hard. It took the two installers 10 hours, but they worked the whole time. They did a good job. We compared the prices at other places and they were competitive."

"Milton and his crew did an amazing job on our floors! The original flooring in our house was dull and lifeless, and had carpets that didn’t match the rest of the house. They helped us remove the original carpets and revitalize our floors with new installations and refinishes that gave brand new life to our house! Highly recommend giving them a chance, they wont disappoint!"

"They did everything they said they would and went above and beyond. They offer a year warranty on their work, show up on time, and even will come back to fix things. Josh is due to come out to fix some things the HVAC people did in a couple of days. They have a store, and they sell flooring, but I did not know that at the time I ordered carpet from Menards. They had no problem installing what I had purchased from elsewhere. I cannot recommend these guys enough! Seriously, if you need flooring installed, give them a call. I am having them come back to quote tile and hardwood flooring as well."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cross-plains, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
