"I can only say great things about JA Drywall. We had quite a complicated chimney repair. From the beginning of the process, this company stood out from all the others. Most companies did not return my calls. One did respond but never showed up to start work. The JA Drywall owner came to our initial appointment on time, evaluated the job and gave us a reasonable and fair estimate. The work crew then came on time and worked really hard for two days to repair the chimney. At each stage they kept us informed of progress. They did a wonderful job, kept the site clean and tidied up once job completed. On top of their excellent work, they are a team of friendly and courteous workers, who also took care of a few other things that needed attention. "Initial estimate was 5-8 days, but we were going in blind because the siding was not yet removed. After removal, we discovered all the remaining issues. The estimate went up as we made change orders but all the estimates were reasonable. The time eventually extended to about 3 weeks but the amount of work was definitely high. The guys made sure to clean up the rubble and messes they made every day. While having the paint stripper in the front was inconvenient, Pat stayed late to clean up and make sure we were able to get in and out of the house no problem. The pointing job looked great, and all cracked and broken bricks were repaired well. We have gotten a lot of compliments from neighbors about how much better the house looks now. Pat and Ryan are great masons and will do everything relating to masonry and stone. They are very straightforward about not doing carpentry or electrical systems, so if that's a part of the job, they can either recommend someone to help out, or you should make sure to handle it yourself. Communication with Pat is very fast and very clear. He will explain the details of the job to you very carefully, and will also provide careful records of invoices and payments. They are also very accommodating of various needs like access to the house, neighborhood requirements, etc."

"LaRosa was cooperative and reasonable throughout all conversations and planning including working around a few certain issues (unrelated to the contractor but related to the property). The price (especially compared to larger companies for the same work) was comfortably within my budget and feels appropriate for the amount of work done. The work itself was professional, feels super sturdy, and looks great. It passed inspection with only minimal and negligible concerns (because that's the inspector's job afterall). The one thing I'll have to bring up that makes this a 4-star is that demolition of the old deck was not properly cleaned up and my downstair's neighbor's porch is directly beneath my deck, so what happened was the saw dust was unwittingly tracked through his house and over his new flooring. My neighborhood's homes have a rather unique configuration, so I imagine LaRosa is used to cleaning up last day, but it still meant I had to do the neighborly thing and take care of the dust myself (neighbors' are retired and I'm in my 30s, so I was happy to do it). Just something to keep in mind. I'd still highly recommend LaRosa for the otherwise solid performance and professionalism."

"It went ok. Eric was so anxious to start the repairs that he reduced the price which was great, but he started the job a week later than originally planned and my husband miss two days of work because of it. He didn't finish job at 100%. There are couple minor things that still needed to be done that he has not come back to finish. I guess when you have too many jobs going on at once, I guess he figured those few minor things were not important to call and say he wasn't coming back to complete the job. I do however want to thank one his workers (I wish I would have asked him his name) who did most of the work by himself. He was very professional and if I knew his name and number, I would call him for future jobs. Overall the work was fair, but I will not use Eric again or recommend him to anyone."
