Gleyson Olivera from Vellox was the only company rep of all of the other 5 quotes I received who came to my home AND walked me around my house giving recommendations as well as listening to my concerns. The lead time was acceptable, the quotation was competitive and there were no "hidden" extras such as rotten wood add-ons. Also, Vellox was the only company to account for overhangs on my roof and bring the ice and water shield farther up the roof. All of the other companies missed this. I made the decision to go with Vellox and the work was completed in one day. The workers did a fantastic job, the installation looks extremely precise, neat and it's painfully obvious how poorly installed my original roof was. I am beyond pleased. "Well, I knew it was time for a new roof. Based on its age and just looking at it, I knew it. I had put off this decision for quite a while now, but yes, now was the time to finally invest in a new roof. Would I rather spend the money on a Hawaiian vacation or perhaps a new Zero Turn Lawnmower yard toy? Maybe, but if I am thinking clearly and correctly, not really! "We hired Bel Islands Home Improvement to strip off the existing roof and replace/recoat it. The roof had two distinct sections: a large section of conventional asphalt shingles and a smaller section of rolled asphalt roofing. The scope of the large section included stripping the old shingles and replacing with subroofing and new asphalt shingles. Andrie Yamalovitch brought in a crew and completed those tasks in one day. The rolled roof was deemed to be in decent condition and could accept a rubberized coating. Andrei returned a few months later to complete that task. Note that since it was a liquid product it was necessary to wait until the warmer months. Overall, Bel Islands Home Improvement proceeded with the project in a professional and courteous manner and was a pleasure to deal with, and all at a fair price. "Many thanks to Matt Cabral and his expert team for a great job this week replacing a fair percentage of the trim on our thirty year old colonial. After the bad storms this winter, I noticed a small corner of trim had actually come off exposing the sheathing underneath. Fearing water damage, I called Connell Roofing who had put a new roof on our home 12 years ago (that looks as good as new), and did more modest trim replacement 6 years ago. Dennis and John were out the next day, reviewed all the trim around the house that had some damage, gave an estimate, and said they could start in only a week. While our house has sturdy cedar board siding, the trim boards are soft pine, and there were multiple areas of sunken wood consistent with rot underneath. The bad pine trim was to be replaced with PVC trim that will last a lifetime. When the day arrived for repair, Matt Cabral made another assessment and spotted a couple of additional trim areas that could be seen to need replacement now that"
