"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. "A Window well filled up with water then came through the window seal into the unfinished basement. We scheduled an appointment with Them for the following week. On the appointment date, Anthony conducted inspection of problem walked around the home & examined the problem window well and basement wall. We recently had the job done. We were amazed watching them work. They did a beautiful job in a very very tight space (see pics) They cleaned up the area when finished. We are very satisfied with the process. "We called Ed soon after we moved into our home, and became aware of multiple issues present within the house. The issues included several cracks in the Concrete Foundation of the Basement, an ongoing problem with High Basement Humidity, cracks and loose mortar around the bricks of the wood burning fireplace, and cracks in the tiling of the Center Hall Foyer. Ed came over right away, was able to measure the level of humidity in the basement walls and floors to determine the severity of the problem. In addition, he was able to point out several major contributing foundational issues. He determined the root cause of these issues and provided a solution that would prevent further damage to the structural integrity of the home. Ed was able to design a plan to correct the deficiencies both inside and outside the home which included insufficient and compromised footings, a sinking foundation, a failing support structure to the basement staircase, improper waterproof coating on the basement floors and walls, and stress cracks in the foundation walls. Ed’s Team worked diligently and installed multiple footings to stabilize the foundation, including rebar, hydraulic cement, wire lathing and titanium strapping to provide maximum support and stability to the foundation of the home and garage inner wall. The team built scaffolding to reach the height of the exterior chimney and rebuilt the compromised chimney footing, cracks in the chimney shoulder, and detached flu. On the inside his mason repaired the facial mortar and gaps between the chimney and the wood flooring. Ed’s Team was in my home for nearly 2 weeks working to correct these serious issues. The amount of digging and handling of heavy construction equipment they had to utilize was massive. They all worked tirelessly and went above and beyond. They were courteous, productive, and did not impact my daily activities of life during that time. They meticulously cleaned all the areas and left no debris. We were so pleased with their attitude and work ethic. Ed is knowledgeable, meticulous, patient and great at what he does. "5 years ago Universal got the job replacing my roof because they acted like professionals, I visited other jobs they did and spoke with their references. They did an A+ job. Last year I recommended them to a client who needed her masonry chimney replaced and her masonry front stoop repaired. They gave her a great price and jumped right on the job. They did a beautiful job for her. Today a concrete truck hooked my cablevision wires over the street and tore them out of my house along with the siding. I called Artie and he was here an hour later. Instead of giving me an estimate he climbed the ladder and managed to get my siding back in place. He refused to charge me or even take a little something for coffee. These are great people to do business with."

"Overall, they did an excellent job, and there is no water in my basement so far. They were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. My only disappointment was the cleanup, especially since other reviews said they did a good job with that. Thick layers of concrete dust were left all over the area, including my HVAC components. Hopefully, no damage has been done. They also could have vacuumed up all the concrete pieces that were left all over. I was not expecting a deep cleaning, but even a superficial cleanup would have been better. Also, they did not give me enough detail on the electrical outlet needed for the sump pump. As a result, I had to have the electrician come back and make a change, which cost me an extra $200. Make sure you get the exact details of any electrical requirements."

"Andrew from Forte Brick & Concrete returns calls promptly and after agreeing on the price and work we made an appointment to commence the project. He and his father Peter do very fine work and are clean and neat as well as doing their work with a smile. Forte Brick & Concrete removed previously used handyman caulking that was used to seal some cracks (which looked like an eyesore) and corrected the cracks to look natural and not noticeable as well as repairing newer cracks in brickwork in the same manner. Everything was done as expected and they found 2 additional cracks which we missed during the initial inspection which they also fixed pro bono. Forte Brick and Concrete are very professional and expert in their field. I would not hesitate to use their skills again should the need arise.
