"We had been living in our house for 5 years and although the kitchen was a new addition, every winter my wife & I had noticed how noticeably the temperature differentiated especially after the winter of 2014/15.  And because it was a dirt floor with some wood and old construction debris strewn about.  I was not so keen on staying down there.  In doing my own investigation there was some piping and insulation under floor.
So when investigating estimates we called a number of "green" companies.  Out of the three companies that came, only Frank Petrullo with Eco Green Solutions, noticed the mold and a water leak coming from fridge line.  He took the time to show me where the water was coming, how mold had proliferated on the wood floor joists and beams.  The dirt floor was somewhat moist and light was visible from outside along foundation rim contributing to the mold and moisture in crawl space.  He explained each of our options and detailed the steps in sections of each estimate.
We opted to have a plumber fix the water leak, then franks crew came in, cleaned up the mold, then layed down the crawl space membrane, finally insulating floor & rim joist.  All in under two days.  The crew showed up on time, left the open sections of the house clean, and we immediately noticed a difference in kitchen and rest of house.  Walking around bare foot in kitchen is more comfortable, the kitchen is less noisy, and house humidity is maintained.

"Mr. John O. arrived on time and alerted me prior to his coming by phone. John went around the basement and inspected the walls and windows for moisture penetration, and signs of deterioration. He listened to my concerns and wrote a report and recommended an indoor french drain installation based on his professional judgment of the situation.
I received the report with a schematic of my basement and his assessment as a pdf on email. He included a detailed estimate for the work proposed.
I feel that I got a report and an hour of evaluation for $49 and it is fair.

"First, let me say that I called John out of desperation because I had hired another basement waterproofing company to rectify water leakage into my basement. That contractor dug and repaired at the side of my house and then the leak moved to the back. The water was pouring in for months and months and although he graciously sent workers back he insisted that my back deck was improperly installed and that was why the water continuted to pour into the basement. I offered to pay him extra to waterproof the back wall but he insisted that it was the deck and not the foundation. Not so. I finally called Long Island Waterproofing who was local and John arrived. He took one look and immediatley told me that he could see cracks in the foundation at the chimney and the wall would have to be sealed. His workers were prompt, neat, dug all the way to the foundation and sealed the cracks. At first I was worried because they were a small company and he said, "I live in this community, I promise you that I will make sure things are done right." He was absolutely lovely to deal with as were his workers. When the work was done he came back to inspect to make sure the workers had cleaned up everything neatly, which they had. I only wish I had found him first. I waited to write this review to make sure that the water problem was solved. It was. As a side note, yesterday I had to have a mold remediator thanks to the months of water that was not rectified. It really matters who you pick when you are not informed and are relying upon a professional opinion.

"We had a dry well installed in our egress window well by another company a couple of years ago. But last month we had several days of heavy rain and our basement flooded again. The other company wouldn't show up to look at it so we called Jack Basement Man Brady. He brought his crew over two days later, found, and fixed, several deficiencies in how the dry well had been put in, and added a sump pump as extra protection. He also made some other improvements to keep the rainwater away from our foundation. Jack and his team were very thorough and the price was reasonable. He explained everything in great detail, maybe too much detail sometimes, and made sure we understood why he did everything. Also, it rained hard again a few days later and the drywell held up but we noticed a leak in a different spot. Jack came back and fixed that too, at no extra charge. We would highly recommend Jack for any basement flooding projects."
