"My basement had wall crack steps, horizontal cracks, bowing issues along with moisture issues. Water would come in the basement regularly. Everything was taken care of by RENEW about 6-7 years ago. They replaced some of the foundation bricks, installed a drainage system, placed reinforcement rods along the walls and installed a sump pump. RENEW also helped me with additional request as the project progressed (removing personal items, etc). On the exterior they added and pitched dirt along with placing decorative rocks. I’m writing this 6-7 years later so I’m sure I’ve left a few things out. Since having the work done, my basement has been dry. THERE IS NO WATER/MOISTURE PROBLEMS AT ALL! RENEW is a family business that takes pride in their work. They are dependable, personable, reasonable with cost and most of all knowledgeable. Most reviews are done relatively close to when the work is performed. My review is years later which should tell anyone reading this, they do excellent work at a reasonable price."

"The senior project specialist was Jimmy. He did a great job of keeping us informed at all stages of the project (interior drain tile installation). Nanod was the plumber who did the final installation of the sump pump set-up and discharge configuration. Nanod did an outstanding job on the route of the discharge piping , having assessed that the originally considered discharge configuration might have adversely affected our neighbor."

"Generally well overall. Unfortunately, the weather (early spring) put off the date for the final paving over the outside drain tile. There was also an area along the basement wall for which they didn't install the seepage material (no explanation why). The team broke one basement window, reported to the manager that I had approved replacing ALL the windows with glass block ($200 each for 5 windows). I explained that I had not spoken with them at all, and I'd be willing to replace the ONE broken window. They replaced two. At no extra charge to me. I felt as though it was my responsibility to nag (when will you be able to finish? what's going on with the outdoor work?), when that should be the priority of the business... keeping me informed about what's going on. Finally, when moving appliances, they destroyed my washing machine (cracked a cement part so it couldn't be repaired). I wasn't aware this had occurred until after the fact. I complained but have had no response. Despite the carelessness and unresponsiveness, that basement is dry as a bone. Can't complain on that note. I marked that I would hire again... slightly unsure about that. I'd like to think there's a perfect company out there that would contact me up-front about when work stops or will continue, or when they break something. Otherwise, the foundation work + sump pump install was superb."

Another year has passed and even with all the melting snow and rain that we have had, we still have not had any leaks or problems with the repair of the foundation or any other place in the basement. "We live in an older home that had an attic filled with vermiculite insulation. The insulation contained some asbestos.
While we knew we did not have to remove it, we wanted it out considering we are installing a high velocity AC system and the contractor was going to be cutting holes in our ceilings and closets. We figured now was the time to do the job and that we wanted to do it the right way.
During the consultation Rich explained the abatement process from start to finish. He laid out all the details of the job and noted that his team would try and keep as much of the flooring that was installed in the attic in tact. This was a bonus because we originally figured the very nice wood flooring that the previous owners installed would be ripped up completely. 
Regarding communication, when we had questions Rich was always quick to return our calls.
When it came time for the actual abatement, it went very smoothly. The team completed the job in three days and given the heat in our attic and tight quarters did a great job. We noticed when we came home that some of the clocks were blinking and we figured a fuse had blown due to the power of  their vacuums. We also noticed that the staff had tried to reset as many of the clocks as they could.  Overall, I am very pleased with the experience."

Unlike with other "big name" companies, I felt comfortable with their diagnosis. They dug up the sewer, replaced it, sealed our walls, and cleaned up all in one day as I was at work. Max was phone call or text away, keeping me updated on the entire process. In addition he also helped by talking directly to our insurance adjuster to ensure we could get some money for the damages. Windy City Rooter is a highly experienced family run business and it is obvious that their goal is to make the customer happy. I will use them for all my future plumbing needs."

"The approached to my garage had cracked and was in need of repair. I was given a free estimate on what needed to be done at a very fair price. Mark showed up early ,cut out all the damaged area and repaired the approach with new cement, he also had it tapered away from the garage floor for proper water drainage.I’m very happy with the work that was done.
