The weather did not cooperate on starting the job, but as soon as weather permitted work began and it only took two days. The old fence and posts were removed and new posts installed on day one and new four-foot link was installed with re enforcement along the bottom keeping the escape artist dog safely confined. The results are great. All trash and scraps were removed. Not only does the property look good the quality of the materials and work is excellent. "Hays hired contractors to do all the work in our rooms.  The contractors showed up late, there are paint drips on our walls, and I had to go back and repaint several areas because they missed spots.  They took so many smoke breaks (outside) that our rooms smelled like cigarettes.  We had to run an air purifier in the room afterward to rid the area of the smoke smell (even over the smell of paint)!   <br /> When the tarp was removed from the roof there were 100+ holes left from the nails....not to mention the nails that were left exposed (not tapped in).  Two days later another spring storm rolled through, and our leak was back with a vengeance.  We took a video of the leak during the storm to show where it was coming from....all the holes caused by the tarping crew. <br /> Hays DID admit fault and replaced our roof, which was great.  However, all of these are problems that reputable companies should never have.  Any business knows that your reputation is only as good as that of the contractors you use and employees you hire.  The only reason I'm not rating Hays with an "F" is because the Foreman and his Manager were so extremely nice and easy to deal with.  They were NOT, however, nice enough that I would refer them or use them again in the future! <br />"

"Eric removed two layers of shingles from our 40 year old roof and replaced them with new 3D Duration shingles. The job started with us needing someone to replace some siding on the chimney due to water leaking in behind the siding causing deterioration and paint peeling off of the siding panels. The repair which we were pursuing was relatively small and consequently we contacted several qualified contractors and they were not willing to even come and scope out our job. Someone referred us to Maximus and when I called and talked to Eric, he was willing to take on the project even though it was small. When he showed up to evaluate the situation and give an estimate for the job, he discovered that the cause of our problem was due to the concrete cap around our chimneys that had cracked and separated and allowed water to seep in and deteriorate the trim boards and siding.We agreed to have him replace the siding and trim boards and to replace the chimney chase because his quote was very reasonable. During this same visit, I was asking him about the condition of the shingles on the roof because they had been in place for 20 years. They were showing signs of wear but he said they could last another year or two. I inquired as to the cost of him roofing the house too while he was doing the other jobs for us and that quote seemed very reasonable so I agreed to that job as well. He has just finished the total project in less than a week and everything looks really good. He maintained the schedule that he promised and he was on site nearly every day to make sure things were running smooth. We will definitely call Maximus again when the need arises. <br />"
