"After many delays due to weather they started on a Friday afternoon around 3pm and worked til 6pm. They returned early Saturday morning and completed the tree removal and cleanup by 6pm Saturday. Stump grinding happened on Monday. Given the big job and complicated nature of the project (12 trees), some of the grounds were torn up but again given the size of the job, it was understandable. Clean up could have been better but mostly everything was professionally done. I'd use them again.

"The 3 workers arrived at 9:00 and worked continuously until12:00.  They dug up overgrown areas and cleared out weeds and debris.  They dug up and split hostas and replanted in the areas where the debris was cleared.  They also trimmed some trees and removed ivy from tree trunks.  When the areas were cleared, they spread 20 bags of mulch and cleaned up all the areas they worked on. They were so pleasant to work with and were happy to do whatever I asked.  They were polite and professional and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

"I earned my science degree in forestry in 1953.  I worked in the hardwood industry for 60 years, the last 40 was traveling all over Asia utilizing my knowledge & experince performing hardwood business.  That said, I know the difference between dying trees & live ones.  I have a huge 60" plus dbh 200 pluis year old water oak tree on my property.  I was informed by 2 different arborist that the tree was dying & required complete removal.  Thankfully, I found Ed Rigby, a knowledgable person with 46 years experince working to preserve historic trees.  Ed & his 3 man crew spent an entire day pruning my beautiful, classic, oak tree.  What impressed & amazed me most was watching his tree cutter climb 50-60 feet up & out on the limbs without using leg spikes, only his muscles & 16 years experience.  Ed Rigby worked the entire day with his crew, directing & supervising the work.  My tree is now well preserved for 2 or 3 more future generations to enjoy.  I highly recommend Rigby's tree care service, to evaluate all homeowners with special, classic hardwood trees in the Atlanta area, before they decide to have them completely removed............come & see my MAJESTIC WATER OAK TREE

I sent out quotes to 4 Angie's List company's.  Heard from all 4, but Allen Jennings with AJ Tree service was the first to call me back. After I receive all 4 quotes, AJ's quote was far better than the others.  The least difference was $300, the most was $1,000.  A couple of companies said it would be a "2-day job" because the trees were so large and located in the back yard.  I call AJ Thursday a.m. to tell him he had the job and to schedule a date.  When he call back and said he had a cancellation that afternoon and could start it the same day I called.  His crew arrived at 2:30 and promptly begin to work.  I can't say enough about how efficient and careful his crew was, taking great care to not damage the yard and cleaning up as they went.  Well, 4.5 hours later, this "2-day job" was TOTALLY complete!!!  Trees down, yard totally raked, saw dust blown out of the grass, logs removed and everything looking great.  I wondered why everyone who had used AJ Trees Service had rated them an A, now I know.  The only reason I give them an A is because there isn't a A+ plus rating.
