"When it rains on the inside of your fireplace, you have a problem. My chimney crown had several cracks that needed to be sealed. I called a few chimney repair companies and in the end decided to go with Holy Smokes Chimney Service. I found the owner, Waylon, an honest and forthright person who seemed to really care about my situation. He came to my home and gave me a quote the day I called him, and then proceeded to tell me he was going to put a tarp over my chimney with no pressure to use his services while I investigated other companies. I was impressed with that and his overall knowledge and experience. Waylon was back with his assistant within two weeks to clean and waterproof the bricks, seal the crown, and install a new chimney cap. They also blew the leaves off the roof, walks, and driveway. What a relief to finally get this done, and at a fair price. I couldn’t be more pleased with Holy Smokes Chimney Service, and highly recommend them. Thank you Waylon!"

"Todd was on time, and he and his trainee were extremely professional. Everything we asked them to do to protect the roof and document the job, were already part of their routine. I don't think we have ever had a crew here that was as efficient and professional as they are. The flues did not require cleaning at this time, but TnT Quality Services will definitely get the job when required. Their quote for the multi-flue cap was in the range we had expected. I don't doubt that once they have the custom built cap and install it, we will be just as pleased, but we will do another review once the job is completed. We are very pleased with the end result of Todd's work. See the pictures of the caps poorly installed by another contractor and that beautiful cap installed by Todd."

"Hail damage occurred in March of this year and I contacted Braswell Construction as well as 2 other local roofing companies. Chris Gaugler contacted me asap and came out to the house. The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Chris Gaugler was onsite and available for questions anytime to the very end. The crew only took one day to do the house, extended 4 car garage and well house. Photos attached and it really makes a difference."

"This is one of the BEST contractors I've Ever worked with in 20 years. Brent and his team were amazing. I interviewed 8 or 9 different roofing and gutter companies . Christian Roofing was the only one that mathematically and correctly addressed the inadequate ventilation on this hip roof. The installation was inmpressive: A crew that's worked together for many years; the Foreman and Job Capitain are the perfect complementary balance of new school / old school as one has a GA Tech degree and the other has 35 years hands on experience; they brought a port-a-potty with the dumpster; they did not use kick boards - which make additional holes- but were roped in; and they left the job site- my home- clean! The synthetic roof felt, shingles, vents were all high quality GAF materials with a long warranty. As important of an investment as a new roof is, I am just so glad I found these guys. Rarely do I write reviews but 'simply had to after a job this well-done!"

"I had originally called to get a price on replacing the vent boots on a foreclosed home i was trying to purchase.  Marcus met me there and although he was running slightly late he did call and let me know.  No big deal to me.  If your service provider isn't busy there may be a reason in my mind!  Anyway,  He quickly climbed up on the roof and hit me with some devastating news that I needed a complete new roof.  This destroyed me.  Trying to protect my best interest I asked for a quick quote on a replacement cost.  He honored my request although he repeatedly informed me that he hated to do a rough guesstimate but understood my position.  i had to have some kind of idea to go back to the seller with $$ wise and it had to be about an hour from when we met. <br />  Fast forward to the seller rejecting my offer but then we agreed on a lower price and I owned the home.  I then decided to get my usual 2 more estimates on the repairs to the roof vents.  I have heard repeatedly how roofers are some of the most dishonest folks in the business. Both of the other companies told me that I needed a new roof as well so I began getting prices. <br /> Marcus then got down to business and was able to give me a detailed price quote that wound up being lower than the other 2.  He also was able to offer interest free financing for a year with no payments which certainly helped with the cash flow.  His <br /> advice as to what color was very helpful.  I really wanted a wood color and he informed me that it would look phenomenal for about 5 years then due to the large amount of hardwoods on my lot they would begin staining it.  This sad but true fact was confirmed.   <br /> Only problem was now getting it installed.  He was willing to work Thanksgiving week if necessary.  He knew I was trying to celebrate Christmas in the house and was more than willing to do his part.  Unfortunately Mother Nature was very uncooperative with us.The only delay in getting it installed as promised was waiting for a few days break in the weather.  This is certainly understandable.  Once the break came they showed up with a large crew and got right to it.  They protected my landscaping and brand new HVAC compressors.  They worked well into dusk and were very fast and efficient.  To date I have found I think 3 nails leftover that they missed.   <br /> I read the other reviews on here and found Marcus easy to get a hold of and courteous and friendly as well as trustworthy and honest.  By the time it was all said and done I felt like i had purchased a roof from a friend.  To those looking at the price paid and saying WOW that's high!  My roof is very large with a steep pitch and lots of dormer windows.  2 stories in the front and 3 in the back.  Lots of gutters as well. "We are very impressed with the quality of work, professionalism, trustworthiness, cleanliness and customer service along with the overall value of the work performed. We will continue to use Christian to complete additional work needed to finish our basement. We have hired many contractors to work on our home and have never been more impressed with the entire project and he is very affordable. Christian is very attentive and extremely conscientious keeping us informed every step of the way so there were never any surprises. He communicates with me on arrival times and project completions and he can always be reached by phone. Plus Christian works weekends, whatever it takes to get the job done, while also making suggestions to ensure a superior end result. "Overall everything was great.  We moved into this house earlier this year after the property had been vacant for over a year.  The house has two fireplaces we were interested in using but were unsure of how they'd been kept up. <br /> We called Fireplaces of Lake Hartwell after finding them on Angie's List.  We had some interesting schedule requirements, but they worked with us to get an appointment made that didn't require us waiting long, and provided an estimate for the work.  On the day of the appointment they arrived on time. <br /> When they arrived Frank explained exactly what they were going to do, and in what order.  We have dogs that can be anxious around new people, but Frank and Nancy were more than happy to help us make it work - planning the work so they could minimize the amount of time spent going in and out of the house, as well as minimizing traffic up and down the stairs.  Knowing up front what was going to happen and in what order really de-stressed the situation for me, making the whole process wonderful. <br /> After arriving they spent time outside and on the roof inspecting the masonry and the chimneys.  When they were finished, they brought in their equipment to the first floor and began work on that fireplace.  They had a debris bucket with them along with a large vacuum to help with large or bulky objects.  On the upstairs fireplace they only filled it once, and waited for the majority of the process to finish before taking it outside.  They removed the damper which had some damage to it.  They explained what was happening and showed me the damage before putting it back. <br /> The second fireplace was a lot dirtier and required multiple debris buckets to clean out.  Nancy was great about working with me so she could get in and out as needed without issue.  After finishing they removed all of their equipment and made sure everything was put back together before coming back to settle everything up. <br /> They provided a detailed explanation of what was performed, and the total bill was exactly what was estimated.  They also provided some information on repairs that we could perform ourselves, or that we could ask them to come back and perform.  They let me know what we'd need to do it ourselves, and provided estimates for the work if we were to hire them.  They also, at our request, provided information on fireplace inserts available that would fit our fireplaces.  While present they took all the information down they would need to provide estimates, and told us to select some models from the brochures after taking some time to look through them, and that they would provide us estimates for whatever we wanted. <br /> Overall it was great working with them, and I appreciate their promptness, their willingness to work with us, and their professionalism."
