"Paul was very professional and easy to work with. He communicated well, was friendly, and efficient with the job. We are highly satisfied with the remodel he did on our basement. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a service he provides. He did exactly what we wanted in no time at all!"

"A.P. Georges has provided me with excellent service over 7 years in a very big old house with a and quot;small commercialand quot; steam boiler and two 60 gallon gas hot water heaters. They are very responsive whenever I have an emergency or immediate concern, and appropriately flexible when it is routine service. Communications are great, and Mr. Georges always explains everything that he is doing and what troubleshooting steps he took. We have been replacing 100 year old plumbing and valves a bit at a time. I highly recommend their service. <br />"

"Brad Garman has become a trusted part of my team. He knows his stuff. He comes very quickly when there's an emergency, and in a reasonable length of time for less urgent matters. His price is reasonable; I never feel like he's taking me for a ride. Finding reliable and responsive tradesmen is a challenge; Brad is the kind of guy I hope for."

"They had been out like ten days before, and the issue expanded. I paid eight hundred dollars two weeks before, did not get me anywhere with the five thousand dollar repair. Just disappointed that the inspection and work which was done within an month prior, did not capture the problem. It ended up being so expensive for that visit."

"John returned my call the same evening we contacted him. He came to move a well tank during remodeling on the day we needed him and at the time we agred upon. A few months later he came to replace the well pump, water treatment system. He "sanitized" the water lines and made sure everything was functioning properly. I called a few months after installation with a question about the water treament system. He returned my call the same day. He offered to come to the house to answer my question. <br /> John Downs Plumbing and Heating <br /> 320 West Main Street <br /> Bloomsburg, PA 17815 <br /> <br />  570-784-5900"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Danville, PA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
