"Was very pleased with the overall result of New Again. I submitted dimensions and pictures over the website and received a very competitive quote. After stripping the deck there were a few more boards where some rotting was identified and Barak and his team replaced them promptly. Stain looks great and made an immediate difference. I had been contemplating if my 20 year old deck was too far gone and needed replacing... but after seeing what Barak could do with stripping the old paint off, replacing some bad boards, and staining... I'm very glad I chose to do this rather than replacement."

"These guys are awesome! I searched the list for on-site paper shredding services, as I am not comfortable leaving sensitive information to be shredded "later" at another location!  Picked this company as they have great reviews and I like to support a vet-owned company.  Scheduling was easy - I emailed when I was ready to shred, Dave called right back to schedule and they were out there on the date I selected.  He called about an hour before our appointment to let me know he was on his way, and showed up when promised.  Brought a big wheeled container to my garage, he dumped the papers in and shredded them right then and there.  Even let me watch as it went through on the video monitor, which was pretty cool. <br /> Just a super nice guy, listening to him talk it is clear he loves his country and his family! I would be completely comfortable having him back to do more work even if I was home alone, he was an absolute class act. <br /> <br />"

"Exactly as planned and promised. Even though it was a very rainy fall in the Twin Cities my roof was done in a timely manner. Jim Davidson, the owner, was in contact with me to keep me appraised of the timing of the job. Further, his crew was polite, professional, and hard working. I would highly recommend Everlasting Exteriors for any roofing or siding job. It didn't hurt that Pat quoted, and stood by, a price that was half of what Sela quoted me."

"<p>When Linda came out to see our yard (a small South Minneapolis one), prior to providing a quote, we showed her the plans from the original landscaping job and said we were trying to get back to something as close to this as possible.  She declined to take the plans with her to assist in preparing her quote.  We mentioned that the old mulch would need to be taken out, and she said she would instead cover it with landscaping tarp and put the new mulch over it.  We pointed out that, because of wear and tear from our dogs, the old mulch would need to be leveled out if it was to be left under the new mulch.  The old mulch was not leveled out, and when I called her to complain she came over with the contract in hand, stated that she did not remember ever discussing leveling the old mulch, and that it was not in the contract and so was not something she had agreed to do.  She did do a minor fix on a small corner of the yard, but overall the new mulch was just spread over the old mulch as it was.  </p> <p>The yard has a rock border as well as a line of rocks in the middle of the yard.  The rocks in the middle of the yard were moved and replaced after the landscaping tarp and new mulch had been put down, but the rocks on the borders of the yard were simply covered over with landscaping tarp and mulch with a few rocks pulled from beneath to hold the tarp down.  The result was, to us, a very sloppy looking border that we have reworked ourselves over the course of the summer.</p> <p>The landscaping tarp that was put down under the mulch is of two different colors (grey and black) and might be of two different qualities although that is hard to say for sure.  We had mentioned a concern with the dogs running in the yard, and Linda assured us that the tarp would be held in place with landscape staples.  To us, these staples appear to have been placed very few and far between.</p> <p>Given the price that was charged, we expected a much more finished looking result than was provided.  While our primary objective of cleaning up what had become an eyesore was accomplished with the removal of the weeds and the laying down of new mulch, we would describe the overall job that was done in one word: sloppy.</p> <br />"

"Estate Claim Services took care of our hail damage on roof of home and garage. Mark L. was very professional and always available for questions and feedback. He worked with our schedule and contacted Insurance Company to ensure the garage roof was included in the work. The work was completed 2.5 days, and the quality of the work and crew was excellent. We are very pleased with the color choices and our new roof looks great! Adam D. Minneapolis, MN"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Dassel, MN

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
