He renovated my home office by creatively repairing a redwood entry door, patching and painting the room, hung a large flat screen TV, replaced a toilet in the bathroom as well as numerous other small fixes around the property. "The price was good. They're responsiveness was good because there was a minor issue. It was mainly cosmetic. There were plastic caps that goes in the hole of the window after they put the screws through. They failed to put that. I called them, they were supposed to follow-up and they didn't follow-up. They never called me back and they never responsive to take care of that, unless they came and maybe my kids had them do it. The work was incomplete. It's really a minor thing. They're so stupid not to finish the job and they were good otherwise. They didn't get bad ratings, and I don't think the owner even knows. I called them actually six months to three months ago. I told them to come and finish up the final finishing touch of the window, which is part of their job. They never called back. I asked them to even have their owner call me. They're not responsive. The work they did was good except for this last item. I hate to give them a bad mark. They didn't follow up and have a bad reception. I'm not happy with the work because it's not fair that I gave them the full price and they didn't do a full job. Actually the workers were good. They came, they were efficient and did the job. The final touch they didn't do."

"The SGK office staff were very polite and helpful and the gentleman that came out to do the estimate was also very polite and very knowledgeable. He knew a lot of information about the windows that I didn't even know. He spent a lot of time going over different types of windows and how the different ratings could benefit our home and be better for our home in the long run. I did collect a few quotes and in the end SGK was not the cheapest but the quality of their product I feel is well worth the cost. I also don't mind paying a little more since they took more time to answer questions and go over their product in a way that the other companies didn't. Overall I enjoyed meeting with SGK and would consider having them out again for any future projects."

He anticipates potential issues and resolves them ahead of time. Any unexpected setbacks were met with grace and ended up getting resolved in the end. He's also honest - if he doesn't have the skills to do something (which is rare) he mentions it right away and helps find a qualified tradesman to it correctly. "First off, Sid was available to work on the weekend, and in my case, that meant I did not have to take time off work for the visit. Sid installed two drapery rods above sliding glass doors and two above windows, all in the same room. He paid attention to detail as well as to exactly what I wanted. One of the sliding glass doors is adjacent to a window and I wanted the rods to look like there are continuous. Sid made sure they were level, perfectly aligned, and touching. He also patched several holes in my walls and ceiling, some large. He redid one of the patches because he felt it wasn't done right the first time. Then he gave me a break on the price to compensate for the job taking longer than it could have. One of the old drapery rods he took down was 14 feet long and I was worried that the garbage company would not collect it because of the size. Sid cut it down into several chunks for me so I could easily dispose of it. He did all this cheerfully. He showed up on time and was tidy. All in all, a very positive experience.
