"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. "Me Neil Masten was very professional and yet also very personable .It really was His goal to treat the customer like he would his own family. He is genuine and cares About the Customer.He really wants their end results to be exactly what they we’re hoping for. Or exceedingly better. I was very impressed with how quickly the windows were put in by Tommy and Greg and how they also were very professional and courteous. Tommy tooK time to make sure I knew how to operate the new windows. Neil came back and did a walk through and provided The most exciting News: my encasement windows Could be cleaned from inside the house and he personally cleaned a couple to show how easily it can de done!!!? I definitely would recommend Mr Neil Masten and company plus Barrier Windows . Already have to one Dear Friend. Oh yes, he came very highly recommended by My Brother.."

"It went very well. Most of the limbs were over buildings on the property, and the crew was careful not to let any of the cut limbs damage my roofs. They cleaned up better than I would have expected. Nicolas even went out of his way to blow out my gutters, as he saw me struggling with that unrelated job."

"Got on Angi's: Wanted Glass Shower Door Unit installed on Tub. 20 minutes after submitted for help - Matt texted and ask when good time to stop by. I Said in morning, anytime after 9 am. I called Matt next morning, about 9 am - we talked and Matt said could be over in 15-20 minutes (and he was). Matt noticed: Tub had lean. Long story short: More we tore into things, the worse it got !! With Matt's advice (and his co-worker Brad) - ended up: removed Cast Iron Tub, reinforced sidewall studs & base plate, reinsulated, replaced subfloor & interior walls around tub. THEN: Installed new tub & surround. Of course, existing water lines had to be relocated !! Numerous small hurdles came up (during all this). Been hard not to lose patience. Matt & Brad never got upset, were never negative. They'd figure situations out, share info with me & share what they planned to do - to fix it. Not once, did Matt or Brad not include me, regarding any significant repair needing done. Not once, did Matt or Brad complain. After new shower & tub installed - they were finally able to install Glass Shower Door Unit !! Did a wonderful job !! Brad even reinstalled Laminate Flooring that had to be torn up (when replaced subflooring). Matt's work was detailed & proper. He not a "Corner Cutter" - yet, he knows how to do things (that save you money). Matt talked with me about work to be done: before, during & after. We also talked about money: before, during & after. There were no suprises. Matt and Brad are true to their word. Bottom Line: If need help on project in future: Matt will be my 1st call. And I hope Brad still working with him. Good Team !!"
