"I hired Baumann's Lawn and Landscape to fix my front lawn. The soil was mostly clay and sand and covered in weeds. They killed and removed all the vegetation, tilled the soil, brought in new topsoil, conditioned/fertilized, and then laid sod. The work was done in 3 separate days and took less than 2 weeks from the initial phone call to the finished installation. Jesus was prompt and friendly, knowledge of our plants and had a can-do attitude regarding everything we wanted done. His pricing was similar to what we paid a different provider last year, and in this time of inflation, that was appreciated! Scheduling was easy and the crew showed up first thing on the date scheduled. The crew leader was easy to talk to and shared Jesus' positive demeanor and willingness to make sure we were happy with the work. We have a fairly large property with numerous planting beds, and the crew worked diligently to pull weeds, hand edge with a shovel, trim shrubs (and pull out of couple of dead ones), and blow out leaves and other debris prior to spreading Preen (which we provided) and mulch. "We obtained several opinions and quotes, and decided to go with Mark and his team because they provided several solutions for the issue: 1) Install pipe underground that connected our sump pump output to a pop-up at the bottom of the yard, so that water from the sump pump could no longer saturate the lawn 2) plant topsoil and grass, so that the water had a place to go instead of just washing the mud down the hill, and 3) redo the concrete step at the base of our walkway with a gradient so that water would no longer collect there. All three solutions worked. We have since had two storms and our walkway has remained puddle and mud-free. Furthermore, Mark was very professional. Proactive communication, arrived on-time as expected. Called before he came by. Mark proved to be trustworthy, and followed-through on everything he said he would do.
