"Jason with Battle Born Electric installed under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen and dimmers on all the many overhead lights in my kitchen and living room. The under-cabinet lighting is also dimmable and, in addition to being practical, really accents that area. Jason was professional, easy to work with and very reasonable in pricing. I am very pleased with the work done by Jason and recommend Battle Birn Electric."

"Dave is a true professional. Late in the day I requested an appointment to deal with an erratic electrical circuit in my home, and he emailed me a response so he would not disturb me with a phone call. He called the next morning and scheduled a time that was convenient for me later in the day. Rather than using parts he had on hand to just get the job done, he went and bought new parts that matched my system and included that time in the minimum labor charge. He also took the time to explain exactly what he had done. I will definitely call Dave again if I need an electrician."

"We initially hired Chris to finish a small bathroom remodel, including installing new shower panels, new vanity countertop, new sink and some drywall repair. He did an amazing job, took his time and really paid attention to the details. The bathroom looks amazing thanks to him. We also hired him to install some new interior doors and a new swamp cooler. Chris stayed till every detail was taken care of and the job was complete. Highly recommend & we will hire him again!"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Worker arrived as scheduled.  He was very quick, thorough, attentive to detail and cleanup.  This guy was an artist with a circular saw and measurements.  I was replacing an external door, and the sill and adjoining floor had rotted from water damage.  He repaired the foundation sill and subfloor, and also patched an external wall hole left by removal of a doggy door.  He also added a bunch of flashing to the door area to prevent further water damage.  This was all done in under two hours.  The price I thought was very reasonable.  I would highly recommend them for home repair and remodeling work.

"Greg did an amazing job with everything. He was professional courteous had all the answers to all my questions and even pointed me in all the right directions as far as finding out more questions for raw funding to help with the construction and renovation fees. Overall, I think he did an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone any time anywhere."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Dayton, NV

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
