The only thing that was negative was when they were digging the concrete and hauling it out, they left the door open from the basement so the entire first floor was covered in a layer of dust. "One screw type pier installed. 2 workers hand dug hole below bottom of foundation. Cleaned out under foundation for platform. Although foundation was deeper than I thought, the hole was done much better and quicker than I envisioned. Pier was screwed at bottom of hole with a hydraulic motor. Once limit on hydraulic pressure was reached, the pier was cut at proper level, platform installed, and cracked section of foundation was raised with a hydraulic jack. Crack in stonework closed up nicely without going too far and creating additional cracks. Workers had 5 and 15 years experience doing this work. Very professional and did a very nice job every step of the way. Note that I (homeowner) chose to move and reinstall landscaping stones and gutter drain. Also, tuckpointing/repairing the cracks was not included in the quote. I plan to do that myself at a later date."

I contacted Rogers initially to get an idea of how to start addressing external moisture issues around my home’s foundation. My plan was to start by having new downspout/sump drainage lines installed, but my goal was to find a trusted company I could have confidence in for addressing future foundation/basement issues that are inevitable in aging homes. Shortly after my initial call, Nick contacted me. At our appointment he arrived promptly and took the time to listen to all my concerns. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and easy to communicate with. He answered my millions of questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, I felt so impressed with that consult that I signed a contract on the spot—something I never do—for installation of drainage lines. The day before the scheduled work, Nicole—the Office Manager—contacted me to confirm and answer any questions I might have. It’s now a cool garden feature since one of the crew kindly offered to wash it off and haul it over to one of the garden beds! The terrific crew were so efficient that the work was completed in under four hours. You literally cannot see where the trench was dug. Last night, we had a gulley washer rainfall. My neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind standing in the street in the rain in the dark with a flashlight—but it was so great watching the rainwater pouring out of the new drainage pipe ? The entire experience with the folks at Rogers felt like I was working with family. Just amazing. I’m so happy to have found a trusted company to turn to if future foundation/ basement issues arise. "The team was incredible. At my new house, the backyard was constantly being flooded when it rained and the drainpipe from the gutters baffled us all as it emptied out into the front yard (instead of the street). In one day, the team dug up the yard, installed drainage, fixed the gutters and added the drainage pipe to go all the way out to the street. They even called me to tell me they could reuse some of the old pipe and were going to deduct the cost from my final bill. Years later, I had another problem with drainage on the side of my house and they came out again and put in additional drainage spots to get the water away from my house. Everywhere they dug up in my yard, they planted grass seeds and covered it. It took time, but the grass matched my yard and you would never know the difference. Being a new homeowner, I will say the price was much higher than I had expected and it was the biggest check I've ever written next to my house's down payment. HOWEVER - it was worth it. Especially after hearing horror stories from friends who had similar water issues and paid less and their problems didn't go away.
