"I was hesitant to request an estimate from this company because of the poor rating another consumer had posted on Angie's List, but after carefully reading the review I realized that it only mentioned the sloppiness of the work crew and did not address the end result. I prefer to spend my money with local providers, so decided to give Hohulin a try. After all, their work is guaranteed for a year, the chain-link for 15 years, and the vinyl pickets carry a lifetime warranty. <br /> I was so glad that I did. Everyone, from the estimator to the office manager to the work crew were experienced and professional. One day after the estimator was here, I received the estimate and drawing in an e-mail. It took several months for me to be prepared for the work to be done; I appreciated that there were no pressure tactics in the meanwhile. When I was ready, I signed the contract and paid the deposit. Work was scheduled to begin in 3-4 weeks. Hohulin contacted "Julie" for marking the location of utilities. <br /> After the utility lines were marked, I became apprehensive about proceeding with the fence as it had been laid out. I had expected to see markings where my sewer line ran from the house (in two places) to the cleanout to the street and there were none. I called Public Works and was told they only mark the lines owned by the city, not what is owned by the resident. I know approximately where the lines are, and thought there could be a problem. I relayed this information to Hohulin and was assured the work foreman would confer with me before they began work. <br /> The work began yesterday, just 24 days after signing. I discussed my concerns with the foreman and he offered to dig those four post holes by hand, so as to ensure no harm would come to the sewer line. He was very careful, and thankfully was able to bypass the pipes. <br /> The work was completed today (even though it was drizzling rain) and the end result is a beautiful, professional looking fence. The two men worked efficiently, did a good job of measuring and leveling, hauled away the excess dirt, and cleaned up afterward. I couldn't be more pleased. <br />"

"Jim was prompt, easy to work with, and very hard working. Though his resume does not show it, he is a skilled carpenter. He found creative solutions to the many challenges, while being considerate of our budget. His finish and detail work is excellent. Examples, installing along brick edge of fireplace, installing new floor registers, creating invisible transitions, disguising alterations to a kitchen cabinet. We greatly appreciated his sensitivity to our living conditions (we have dogs who are part of the family) during this disruptive project. We will be hiring Jim to do additional work as soon as our budget allows. Be aware, Jim can sometimes be difficult to contact prior to beginning work."

"Our experience with PM Restoration has been outstanding. Work is completed on time and at a fair price. If something unexpected arises, they deal with the problem and stay until the job is completed. PM Restoration is a family business run by husband-wife team Patti and Mark. For us, this has meant that communication has been excellent and there is none of the runaround we have experienced with other contractors. The services they offer go above and beyond that of a contractor--on numerous occasions PM Restoration has been able to visualize original ways of handling a situation and provided results that exceeded our original ideas. No project is too big or too small. We have referred them to at least eight friends and neighbors and all have been satisfied with the results. For the fastest response, call Patti's cell phone."

"Chuck and his guys have done 2 fences for my family in Bloomington/Normal in the last 3 years (we moved). They are timely, efficient, and are priced right. Both fences have been great quality, and have stood the test of time. They stuck with their promised timeline, and delivered a finished, perfect fence within 2 days each time. I can’t recommend them more! Hopefully we’re finished moving and won’t need more fencing anytime soon, but if we did I would call Ifft Quality Fencing every time!"

"I got two jobs done by this company. First they insulated my attic. I was happy with work and the communication of the team and inquired about flooring. I received a fair price. Both jobs were done in a timely manner and done well. They showed up on time every day, communicated with me throughout projects, and cleaned up every day after they left."

"Cornerstone Builders and Developers were initial recommended by Reading Plumbing to do the specialized work in the bathroom. It was necessary to remove the shelf brace to allow the plumber to get to the underside of the faucet. The shelf brace was an integral part of the front of the vanity. So the work had to be done carefully so that when put back it would look like the other shelf braces in the vanity. They did a good job and even painted it so you can not even tell it had been removed. <br /> While having that work done, I had them put up some additional kitchen crown moulding which had not been done when the house was built. It was for a couple of small areas. The work was complicated by trying to get it to match up completely with the already installed pieces. The carpenter did a great quality job and spent extra time to make sure it was done right. He also painted the pieces to assure they match all the rest of the cabinets and moulding. <br />"
