"I had a vacant apartment unit in my house that needed some light renovation. The work included ceiling repair, removal and replacement of two toilets, and removal of two heating units that were no longer in use along with drywall patches to the walls. There was also some miscellaneous weather stripping and door repair work. Chris was very punctual and he and his team were professional and provided quality work. Since then, I've contacted Chris for a small repair in one of the bathrooms and, even though it wasn't a big job, he was able to accommodate me quickly. I plan to use Chris for my work going forward."

"Rick and his crew were just what I was looking for. I had questions about replacing my home roof with metal and Rick answered them all along with a few suggestions that I hadn't thought of. He came to my home on the day the supplies were being delivered to be sure everything was correct and direct the driver where to put them. The workers were reliable, (at the work site at 6am everyday), friendly, and most importantly skillful. I love my new roof and have been getting calls and comments from neighbors and friends who drive by. I would surely recommend RMS Contractors to anyone looking for a new roof!"

"Amazing group of repair professionals. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman Pittsburgh East. The deck on my house needed to be replaced. Rick, the Project Manager, and Todd, Chuck, Shawn and Jack, the service techs who worked on the deck, were excellent, very professional and neat, cleaning up every day. When I started talking with Rick about this project, I thought it wasn't going to possible for me to have everything taken care of in one undertaking. I must admit that cost was the major stumbling block. The deck is large and lumber/material costs took my breath away. But Rick worked with me, adjusting the materials and the design and making suggestions to help me make it happen! The deck was completed yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I now have a lovely place to sit and enjoy the day and my dog Spencer has a safe place to play outside. Thank you so much for all of your patience, kindness and, of course, excellent work!"

"Replacing a double wide garage door lintel on 50 year old two story brick house is definitely not a DIY job and requires an expert mason since many things can go wrong. The original lintel was an 18 foot, 10-inch wide steel plate welded to the bottom of the I-beam that spanned the 16 foot wide garage door opening. The severely rusted steel plate would be cut off the I-beam and replaced by a 4 inch angle iron that would support the brick above. <br /> After contacting Ron through Angie?s List, we talked on the phone about what needed to be done. After he looked over the job, he called me later that week and clearly explained what needed to be done and gave me a quote over the phone. He also noted some other masonry issues that should fixed in the next year but then gave me a few pointers on how to do it myself. The quote was reasonable but I waited for the written quote before signing off on the work. When talking with Ron, it was very clear that he is the one doing the work and not a front sales guy. He was polite and personable over the phone. <br /> On the first day, Ron arrived with two other men to set up the scaffolding, brace the brick work above the rusted out lintel. My wife met him and his crew and said he was very personable. Later that day, I stopped by to see how things were going and also to have my first face to face meeting with Ron. He was up on the scaffold with a power grinder removing the old lintel. Although <br /> covered in dust, he took time to introduce himself and explain what he was doing. He would have the new lintel in place by the end of the day. As an extra touch, he painted the exposed parts of the old I-beam to make the job look better and keep it from rusting. When I came home later that evening, the job site was straightened up and made safe. <br /> The following day he would replace all of the bricks that were previously removed and repoint the masonry as needed. Arriving home that evening, I was greeted by craftsman-like masonry work and a clean worksite. Ron even repointed some of the masonry on the side of the house that had come loose. Like painting the old I-beam, the extra pointing was not in the original quote but in his sense of doing the job right. He came back on the third day to clean off the brick work with muriatic acid. The tinting of the new mortar was a very close match to the old mortar. Looked perfect to me even after a very close inspection. <br /> <br />"
