"The job was to level and seed the front lawn. Mother Nature can sometimes be a bit*h. The original topsoil has some interesting seeds in it. As promised, TICE came back in late August, killed everything on the front lawn, seeded and fertilized it and just came back to give it a feeding. It looks TERRIFIC. BETTER than I could have hoped. "I talked with several contractors regarding a flooding basement problem, and received a wide range of contradicting proposals from sump pumps to new interior footer drains to various exterior solutions.  I chose M&M because their proposal was straightforward, along the lines of what made the most sense to me.  M&M's price was comparable to some other drainage and landscape companies, and significantly lower than one of the older companies.  Anthony from M&M answered my questions directly, and included additional work such as grading of the property in the quoted price as well as things I'd forgotten to mention, "sure, no problem."  He guaranteed the workmanship and offered sound advice, i.e., not to include a sump pump at this point since the outside work would likely solve the problem.
While $4000 might seem high for  2 days work, the operation was substantial and impressive, as were the skills of the crew.  They worked hard and efficiently - excellent work ethic.  They did everything as promised, plus took out an old shrub (with permission) in order to create a better drain route, and leveled an odd hump in the yard that indirectly effected drainage. Everything was cleaned up and finished with topsoil and grass seed.  They returned on a later date to address an issue with a walkway slab, no problem.  We are happy with the results.  For the first time since living here, the basement hasn't flooded during heavy rains.  Our drainage issues seem to be solved - money well spent.

"We used turf masters for many years and loved them and the job they did on the lawn. Unfortunately I found out like many they were bought out by Tru-green. A quick review of Tru-green tells you all you need to know about them. I prefer to deal with local businesses and try-green is a national operation with very poor reviews. Sadly turf masters is no more. I ended canceling tru-green and signed up with a local service out of Manchester for next spring, they are bit more expensive but I refuse to do business with true-green. RIP turf masters you'll be missed."
